So how does this new AVP kit perform?

On receipt, it was packaged well with all that is needed to get started. It’s a nice shape and I like that they have used a 510 round drip tip. I received the hunters green which is really nice and makes a change to black, silver or gunmetal that I normally receive. I installed the 1.15Ohm coil, this is simple to do as they are PnP type coils. To fill, you ease the silicone bung at the base off the pod and fill it up. It has nice strong magnets, and the pod sits in the device well with no movement. You can see your juice level easily too.

The airflow on this is kind of cool, there is a cut out on one side of the pod at the base and above there is a white dot, this indicates where the air inlet is. On the device, you have four different airflow holes, one side has eight tiny holes, the next has four, then two and then none. You can feel the difference between each position. My preference was the four and six as I like medium draw. Taking it down to two and none, it was a very tight mtl draw so this does give you a good choice of MTL draws. SUPERB!

The Power settings: So, like with the airflow, you also have a great choice of power modes depending on the coil and on your preference, 10W, 12W, 14W and 16W. In my opinion, this covers many preferences. I personally stuck to 12 blue or 14 green depending on airflow and the juice I was using. To change the power output, you just press the power button twice to go up and it then round robins back to 10W.

I also tried the 0.65Ohm coil with nic salt and a higher VG Freebase Nexus Pro Green, and it wicked beautifully with both juice types. This coil is different as it’s a mesh kanthal and this uses bypass output, meaning the device will output between 15-18W depending on the battery charge remaining. The output will decrease as the charge decreases, so no messing around with power settings. This with the four holes airflow setting was again a very good MTL, slightly warmer and denser, but very impressive. You can get a restrictive DTL on this with the airflow setting to eight holes.

Round up

DeeDee’s Score = 9/10 – The Aspire AVP Cube is a smashing all in one kit with great airflow and power choice. A good way to tell if I am keen on something is if I buy more coils, and so I can confirm I purchased a box of the 1.15Ohm coils! This would suit any new vaper and any mouth to lung vaper.

Good job Aspire and many thanks to UK Aspire Vendor for sending this over!

In August 2019 I joined POTV & in Sept I bought a Caliburn and some nic salts & have not touched a cigarette since! I was smoking around 20 cigarettes a day for 26 years!! Mental! I honestly appreciate all the help and guidance from the POTV members, they made the switch so much easier!I am very much into MTL PODs & AIOs. Enjoy mingling with the members, helping others and having a good laugh!
