Vapourlites 50W BLOC

The BLOC Box Mod has been designed by the Vapourlites team along with its VAPE Store Customers, offering an ergonomically curved design to fit neatly in the palm of your hand, along with a fire button directly above the screen. The USB charging point has also been placed on the side for ease of charging.

The Vapourlites 50W BLOC offers 50W of output power, and also shows volts and wattage output. There are built in safety features too, as well as a built in USB rechargeable 2600mAh battery.

The BLOC Mod comes with a USB charging cable, user guide and 510 adapter so you can fit your MT5, Vapourlites Cyclone or any of the Aspire, Kanger or Innokin tanks with a resistance of: 0.3 - 5.0 ohm.

What's in the box?

The Vapourlites 50w BLOC is available in slate grey, limited edition blue or silver, and comes boxed with:

Pure Eliquids
  • 1 x 50W BLOC Mod
  • 1 x Micro USB charging cable
  • 1 x user guide
  • 1 x 510 adapter

It's a small, ergonomically designed unit that fits perfectly within the palm of your hand. The buttons are easy to operate and responsive, placed either side of the clear and easy to read screen, with the USB charging port found underneath the screen. It feels light overall and is a great fit with a small atomiser, such as the Goblin Mini V2, for a small and stealthy out and about setup.

You have a self adjusting 510 connector at the top of the unit, and the Vapourlites 50W BLOC is available in three different colour schemes of slate grey, silver and limited edition blue. Vapourlites is printed up the side of the unit, which I'm not a huge fan of as personally I'm not the biggest fan of large branding being printed on my unit, it may not trouble others but an option for it to be unbranded wouldn't go amiss!

You have 50W of power at your disposal and the Vapourlites 50W BLOC will fire resistances down to 0.3ohm, so the majority of sub ohm tanks are compatible with the Vapourlites 50W Bloc. Testing this out with the Kanger Subtank Mini, with the 0.5ohm coil at 30W, got me through a whole days worth of vaping, and the USB charging is easy to use and recharges the unit back up to full power quickly. Output power is also displayed in volts as well as watts.

The Electronic Cigarette Company

This is an easy to use unit and in my opinion is aimed at beginners.  With the continued uptake of temperature controlled (TC) vaping it would have been nice to see this unit including this technology but it would not be deal-breaker for most of those who are new to vaping and are already likely to be overwhelmed with the names and abbreviations that they are being hit with!

Operating the device is very similar to other units of the same type, this is reminiscent of the iStick in terms of menu layout and function.  Five clicks of the power button turn the unit on or off, press the power button three times within two seconds to switch between variable voltage and variable wattage, and you simply adjust the power with the up and down buttons and fire with the power button. The Vapourlites 50W BLOC also has a number of safety features to stop overheating, overcharging, output shortage and overuse protection built in to the unit.

Battery life in the BLOC is good.  A decent-sized battery at 2600mAh should be more than enough to keep the majority of users going all day.  At 50W the unit is powerful enough to cover tank set ups aimed at mouth to lung and direct to lung style vaping and as the device will fire coils down to 0.3 ohm a user with a sub ohm device at around 0.5 ohm will be able to get a good amount of use out of it between charges.

The Vapourlites 50W Bloc is a decent little 50W unit, offering a more than respectable 50W of output power, decent battery life with the built in 2600 mAh battery that is easy to recharge with the built in USB, and it's available at a good price too. Form factor is worth a mention as well, with it being a light unit and comfortable to hold and operate.
