Vaporesso continue to be on top of their game with quality release after quality release, and they are continuing this trend with the GTX One Pro kit, a mod and tank that performs well above what its diminutive size would have you expect. Vaporesso sent us a couple of kits for review, and I have to say, it has been a real pleasure.
In a vaping world full of basic pods and disposable replacements, it has done my soul good to get my hands on a proper mod and tank combo, it feels great to get some quality and design back to play with, and it is that class that really puts the GTX One Pro above the crowd.

Unboxing and First Impressions
The Vaporesso GTX One Pro comes in a classic black and green package, so you know without having to thing which brand this kit comes from, I do love a brand which is proud of its strong identity. Removing the inner box from the outer sleeve, you are presented with a custom moulded tray keeping the contents safe, and this is a very good thing as this is a very comprehensive kit. As well as the device itself, and the tank with a preinstalled 0.6ohm coil, you also get a comfortable, tapered mouthpiece, a charging lead, an extra 1.2ohm coil, and a spare glass tank section complete with a full spare set of seals. This scores very well in the brownie points department as there is nothing more annoying than having a nice tank, only to break the glass. All you need to add is your own e-liquid, Vaporesso have thought of everything else.

Taking the kit out for the first time, I was instantly struck by the feel of it all, this is a real mod in every sense. It feels like a beautifully created bit of kit with a satisfying weight to match. You will certainly know you have it stashed in your pocket. That is not to say it is overly heavy, it just feels right, and Vaporesso have clearly gone to some length to make sure that the GTX One Pro is perfectly balanced too which is much appreciated as , being tall and thin, it could easily have been out of proportion.
The front is where you will find the 0.97” OLED screen, which is set behind a glass panel where you will also find the controls, a lock slider (yay!), and the charging port. I am always happy to see a charging port that is not on the base, I hate having to lie mods down to charge., not that you will be doing this as often as you may think. Vaporesso reckon you should be able to get three days betweem charges. I think this may be a little optimistic, but it will depend of your personal vaping habits.
Around the body is a textured wrap to help with both comfort and style. The two variants I was sent show both options, the black one has a textured PU leather one and the green one has a silicone one that has an almost velvety texture. It looks and feels fantastic and gives it a really unique style of its own.

Vaporesso have included their Xtank T with this kit, and it is a great choice as it feels as well built as the rest of the kit. It is also well matched as it is as compact as it is solidly built. It features top filling which is done via fill ports hidden under the top cap which simply unscrews. It also has the airflow up top too which helps this to be very resistant to leaking. Closed down gives a very tight mouth to lung, but open fully is very airy, so it really is a tank that can handle all vape styles and coil choices.

Speaking of coils, the GTX One Pro is fully compatible with the GTX coil system so you can choose between 0.4ohm, 0.6ohm, 0.8ohm, and 1.2ohm, so there really is a coil for everyone. To start you off, you have the choice between the 0.6ohm and the 1.2ohm so you can try before you buy extras. Being Vaporesso, it is going to be really easy to source extra coils too, any decent vape shop will stock them. Fitting them is easy too, you just unscrew the base of the tank, pull out the old one, and slip a fresh one back inside. Fill up the tank, let it sit for a few moments for the juice to soak in, and you are good to go. The GTX Coils also feature Vaporesso's proprietary Corex technology ensuring top shelf flavour and performance from every puff.

Vaporesso are very proud of their leak resistant designs, and rightly so. When my review samples first arrived, I filled up one of the tanks to let my mum try it out (she loved it!), and then it went back in the box until it came to review it. I expected to open it up and find a puddle, but to my surprise, the box was bone dry, not even a hint of liquid was anywhere to be found. This is really impressive as I think most kits would have had some seepage during this time.
In Use
The Vaporesso GTX One Pro is a really user friendly kit, giving high performance to everyone, even the most technophobic among us. There is no auto draw, you have to use the fire button, but this kicks in to power instantly. You can adjust the power on the fly using the up/down buttons (which are actually side by side!), but if you want a bit more to play with, hit the fire button three times to access the main menu. From here you can select between Pulse and Eco. Eco will give you great performances whilst squeezing a bit more life out of the 3000mAh battery, but boost gives you the ultimate in consistency as it internally monitors everything in real time. All this sounds great, but in reality I didn’t notice much difference in performance. Whichever mode you go for, you are going to get good clouds, tons of flavour, and a really satisfying vape. It is worth experimenting with different coil options too so you can find your own personal sweet spot.

It also has a Smart setting which takes the guess work out of matching the power output to your coil, again this works perfectly and means anyone can pick up the GTX One Pro and will get a fantastic vape without needing any technical know-how.
The final cherry on top is a physical lock switch so when you are done vaping, you can just slide it to the lock position, and you can stash it in your bag or pocket with no fear of any accidental miss fires…safety first!
Speaking of safety, Vaporesso have you well and truly covered, giving you all the protections you could hope for, from power regulation to short circuit protection. It even alerts if you have an unsuitable USB voltage input. You would expect all devices to have protections in place these days, but the package Vaporesso have put together is particularly comprehensive which should give great piece of mind.

Final Thoughts
The Vaporesso GTX One Pro is a classy package which gives you everything you need in a stylish and easy to use kit. It looks classy, performs exceptionally well, and is really easy to use so it ticks all of the right boxes. It will suit a great cross section of vapers too, from new switchers looking for something a bit more special than your average pod kits to more experienced vapers looking for real performance in an easily pocketable package.
Many thanks to Vaporesso for sending in the GTX One Pro kits in for review.
