VSAVI VG E-Liquid Range

If you have struggled with PG in your e-liquid, help is at hand. We take a look at the V2 Cigs VSAVI VG e-liquid range

We all know that vaping is a safer alternative to smoking. For many people, it has been a godsend that has allowed many of us to finally break the grip that tobacco has held us in and has allowed us to choose a better option whilst still satisfying our nicotine cravings. Whilst most ex-smokers make the change quite easily, for some people there is a problem as one of the main ingredients in e-liquids can cause a reaction, but V2 Cigs have the answer with their 100% VG e-liquid range.

PG vs VG

Before we go any further, let’s go back to the basics. E-liquid is usually made up of four basic components; PG, VG, nicotine, and flavours. PG (Propylene glycol) is a colourless and flavourless substance which has many different uses. In e-liquids, it is used to carry the flavour, is thinner than VG, and also helps with the throat hit that many vapers enjoy. VG (Vegetable Glycerin) is a natural substance which is thicker than PG and has a slightly sweet taste. It is much smoother to vape and also is responsible for those lovely big clouds, but it doesn’t carry flavour as well as PG does. I think we all know what nicotine is, so I won’t go in to that here, and the same goes for flavour.

Most e-liquids are made up of different ratios of PG and VG, higher PG usually has stronger flavour and higher VG will give you huge clouds of vapour, and different juices are made of different ratios of the two depending on the desired results. But as mentioned above, some people are sensitive to PG and may suffer from the following symptoms:

  • Skin irritation
  • Upper respiratory tract issues
  • Sinus problems
  • Headaches
  • Spots

These are the most common problems but in more extreme cases, it can also cause numbness, fatigue, and nausea, but these are very rare. Needless to say, it is not pleasant and can stop new vapers in their tracks.

To get around this, V2 Cigs have brought out a couple of ranges of 100% VG e-liquids which means that even more people can make the switch to a happier and healthier lifestyle.

The VSAVI VG range

I was sent the full range of the basic 100% VG line. They come in 10ml bottles and you can choose from 0.0%, 0.3%, 0.6%, 1.2% and 1.8% nicotine strengths so there really is something for everyone. If you are just beginning to switch to vaping, I would always recommend starting at a higher level and slowly dropping down over time. Each bottle comes in its own box, along with a comprehensive leaflet which has all the warnings, ingredients, storage information and safety advice. The bottles are well sealed so there is almost no chance of any leaking in transit. The only thing I didn’t like is that the bottles are very hard to squeeze, you have to get just the right spot to get any juice out.

This is the first time I have used 100% VG juice and I wasn’t sure what to expect. I used to mix my own e-liquid so I know how thick VG is and I had visions of a gloopy syrup affair that I would need to spoon in to my tank, but thankfully these are surprisingly viscous. In fact, if you tilt the bottle, you can see just how freely the juice moves around. According to the ingredients, they only contain PG, Nicotine and flavours so I am at a bit of a loss as to how they have made these flow so well. This also means they should work well in most devices so you won’t be tied to a sub Ohm set up to be able to use these.

I wasn’t expecting much in the flavour department though, VG is not known as good carrier of flavour. I would suggest using mesh coils to give things a bit of a helping hand as these are not strong, but even in a basic kit with a plain old kanthal coil, there was enough flavour there. You are never going to get a deep, intense experience, but there is definitely enough there to keep you off the cigarettes, and that is really what this range is all about.

The Flavours

There are ten flavours in this range and there is something for most tastes here:

  • Classic Virginia
  • Pure Virginia
  • M Tobacco
  • Arctic Menthol
  • Apple
  • Cherry
  • Elderflower
  • Strawberry Cream
  • Coffee Cream
  • Vanilla

I am not a big fan of tobacco juices but the ones here are all pleasant. I think the lightness and the added sweetness of the VG really works well and made these surprisingly nice and I would definitely vape them again. Arctic menthol was a little underwhelming, I would say it is more a light minty flavour rather than a cold blast so don’t expect it to freeze your tastebuds. The fruits were all much better than I was expecting. The cherry has a nice syrupy flavour and the elderflower, which I really thought would be too subtle for this kind of recipe, was lovely, light, refreshing and slightly floral. The final trio, the creams and vanilla, all worked well too. Vanilla is always a fan favourite and a safe bet for new vapers, and I would say this is a good option. Both the coffee cream and the strawberry cream were my favourites, again the extra sweetness really worked well here and both are very easy to vape.

Final Thoughts

If you are a flavour hound and an old hand when it comes to vaping, the VSAVI VG range is probably not for you, but if you are just starting out and have noticed some of the symptoms of PG intolerance, these juices are just what you need to keep you away from smoking. It is fantastic to see there are good options out there if you don’t get on with regular juices. This could really make a difference and I really applaud V2 Cigs for providing options to make sure that vaping can work for everybody.

If you want to try out the VSAVI VG range, you can pick them up from V2 Cigs. They are £5.99 for 10ml or you can buy bundle packs which start from £13.99.

A few days later she somehow found herself on the moderating team and is still not really sure how that happened. Even stranger, she slowly worked her way up to admin and now helps behind the scenes, liasing with vendors and coordinating social media but she can still be found making smutty comments on the forum. If all that wasn't enough, she also is a proud member of the Potv review team specialising in E-liquid reviews for the discerning vaper.
