I was sent a mass of these Intense Salts direct from IVG to have a shot on.
They sent me thirty bottles! Now that’s a bit of reading (and writing) so I asked if I could split them into two reviews, and they kindly said yes. The Intense Salts range is a range with pretty much every flavour of bar salt juice you could wish for. The name is apt, as they are intense flavours, and they come in variants of 10mg per ml and 20mg per ml.
The bottles are 10ml in volume, and the boxes just house the bottle, no oversized packages with instruction leaflets or plastic pouches, just a classic 10ml bottle of the juice on the box. The bottle has the branding on it, the name of the juice and the strength of the salt nic on it, along with the volume. On the back of the label is the usual ingredients and information.
I like IVG juices. I’ve had a few of their disposable style replaceable pods kits recently and I find them to generally be well flavoured and well-seasoned with sweeteners and cooling alike. The sweeteners tend to compliment the flavours, which is nice in a world of over saturated pods and bar salt type juices, but they still manage to be sweet and full of flavour.
The first fifteen Intense Salts I tried were just picked out the box. I’ve not gone with a theme or anything, they’re just the first ones my tiny little hands could grasp.

Strawberry Kiwi - All the juices have a cold blast to them but none more so than the first one I tried. This flavour is strawberry dominant to me and candy like but smooth at the same time. The kiwi leads at first but then the strawberry kicks in heavily, and it’s a lovely strawberry that hasn’t faded for me so far, which is a good thing for a strawberry as I find I get berry blind after a few mls. It’s well mixed as both flavours are there, but as I love strawberry, that hits a bit better for me.
Pineapple Ice - I also love a pineapple vape juice and this is another good one. You get the juice and the flesh from it. The wife described it as having ‘fruity depth’ and she’s not wrong as that’s exactly what I felt as well. There’s a nice kick of cooling, and the sweetener doesn’t overstay it’s welcome either.
Strawberry Ice - This one is a touch more realistic tasting than the strawberry mixed in with kiwi, but it still goes for that sweet style strawberry, while not being overpowering either. It’s pleasantly strong flavoured, which is hard to do with strawberry, and doesn’t fade badly either.
Watermelon Ice - It’s a sugary watermelon with a touch of rind to it for me. The aftertaste is like you’ve cut a slice of watermelon and sprinkled some sugar on it. Surprisingly it’s not sickly sweet though, and it’s a nice version of the flavour.
Strawberry Watermelon - Again, the strawberry shines through here in the main but the watermelon kicks in and makes it, well, watermelony. The two flavours mix really well, and that lovely strawberry makes it for me. The aftertaste is superb.

Strawberry Sensation - There are lot of strawberries in this range and with good reason, they’re lovely and this one is no exception. It tastes like the Haribo Strawbs sweeties you get. This is a bit sweeter than the other strawberries in the range, but it’s still a good one. IVG seem to have cracked it for this fruit.
Forest Berries Ice - Ooohhhh I love a forest fruit juice. This is the classic style one with dark berries mixed in with red ones. It’s fruity as hell and quite intense. I get blackcurrant, strawberry, raspberry, and something else, perhaps cherry but I’m not sure. Whatever’s in there, it’s my favourite so far.
Triple Mango - Ah mango, my old, old friend. I’m torn a lot of the time with mango as I do not like the signature floral/perfume hit that you get in a lot of them. This one does have that slight hint of floral flavour but that fades into a nice fruity, sweet mango that I do like a lot. There’s a decent depth to it as well, which is the same for most of this range.
Lemon Lime - I get the zing of lime at first for a change here. It’s lovely but the lemon pushes its way in and makes for a citrusy delight. The whole thing is sweet and tangy with no bitterness at all. It’s thought of as a simple flavour, but this one is going to be hard to replicate and has a lot of depth again.
Fresh Mint - Wow it’s minty. Very cold and fresh, living up to the name. There seems to be a medley of mint in it, and I can’t quite place what ones, I think spearmint and peppermint, but it’s mixed so well they become something else entirely and make for a nice vape. Good for summer.

Pink Lemonade - I usually find pink lemonade to be over sweetened and that’s what it’s meant to be like, so I do enjoy it for what it is. This one tastes like a glass of pink lemonade. I know that sounds obvious, but they rarely do taste like that to me. It’s so much like a real drink that I want to put some gin in it. It’s a more traditional lemonade flavour mixed with red berries cutting through. Its strong, and tasty.
Kiwi Passion Guava - The guava is a bit floral for me but then that’s the usual tropical profile so pay no heed to my opinions. As you vape on, the sweetness kicks in and the kiwi, along with the passionfruit, come more to the fore and make for a sweet juice that just has something nice about it.
Retro Cola - It’s a strong and intense old school cola flavour. There’s a syrupy aspect to it that reminds me of the bottles we used to get off the ice cream van. There’s not much more I can say to be honest. It is what it says on the label.
Pro Blue - I was going to search for what this flavour is meant to have in it but then I tasted it, and it was obvious. It’s a blueberry and raspberry flavour. It’s sweet, icy, and I’ve said this about a lot of the juices here, but it’s also very fruity. There are no off tastes from the blueberry, and the raspberry is lovely and tart.
Spearmint - A sweet spearmint that’s not too overpowering. This is one of the more mellow flavours for me but it’s just right for what it is. A nice chewy spearmint sweetie flavour that has a nice kick to it.

Final Thoughts
I like what IVG have done here. I’ve always liked their juices anyway, but these ones are well mixed, with the customary sweetness and cooling that is expected these days. The intensity doesn’t come from the additives, it’s the flavours that make the name for me, and that’s what I like in a vape juice, well crafted flavours that have a lot of depth to them.
It’s not just a simple rebranding of the same flavours they’ve always made, these ones are different, in a good way.
Thanks again to IVG for sending the Intense Salts over. You can buy them direct from their website.
Stay tuned for part 2 as well.

- Strong flavours
- Well mixed
- Good variety
- Can only get them in 10ml bottles, damn TPD

Reviewer at POTVI was a very militant smoker for many years…why would I stop doing the only thing I had left that I liked doing? Then I fell into vaping in 2017. My wife bought a cheap kit off from Amazon that stopped working and I took it to a local vape shop to see what they could do with it. An hour later and full of new knowledge about watts, ohms, and juice strength, I headed home with a new nautilus mini tank for her and raved to her about the helpful guy in the shop. I must have bored her with all my new found information. I tried her vape that night, and a week later bought my own kit. Then I found POTV and the amazingly helpful and generous people on it. A month later I was making my own (disgusting) vape juice, and a month after that I was winding coils for my new RDA. Six years on and I'm much better at making juice, and I now have no money but lots of shiny mods and tanks
