Dr. Salt Premium E-Liquids

Dr. Salt E-Liquids are produced entirely in the UK, fully TPD compliant and manufactured in an ISO 7 Class facility in Dorset. Unlike other E-Liquids Dr.Salt uses a salt based nicotine which captures the natural salts found in the tobacco leaf and this results in a smoother vape without any harsh throat hit. This allows the nicotine to be absorbed quicker into the body and give you the natural rush like you would get when smoking an analogue cigarette.

Dr. Salt Premium E-Liquids

Vaping Dr Salt at higher nicotine strength 20mg is not the same as vaping 20mg traditional E-Liquid it’s much smoother and provides a rush much quicker for longer. This means Dr Salt will change the way you vape for ever.

The juice comes in smartly presented 10ml PET bottles which feature child-proof top caps. The labels are neat and colourful and display all of the relevant information you would expect, including warnings. At present there are currently six flavours in the range and we received all of them for review, but only five came in 5mg strength so I had to take a bit of a gamble and try out the sixth flavour in 20mg strength.

The juice can be purchased in one of three different salt based nicotine strengths; 20mg, 12.5mg and 5mg. I tried out all of the flavours in my Taifun GT-III which is currently fitted with a 1.2ohm coil and also in my Hadaly RDA which is fitted with a 0.6ohm Clapton coil.

Blue Ice

Blue Raspberry Mint.

This flavour consists of an enticing and especially natural blue raspberry on the inhale, very much like you get from a Blue Slush drink. A generous amount of clean mint adds a refreshing, cooling quality to the mix which makes it absolutely ideal on a hot day!

I found the throat hit mild to medium in 5mg strength. Vapour production was very good.

Straw High

Delicious Strawberries and Cream.

This juice is a very pleasant combination of strawberries and cream. You notice the sweet strawberry first on the inhale, and in my opinion it tasted very natural. This is then followed by the delicious cream, which nicely rounds off the strawberry. There is absolutely nothing to dislike about this flavour and it would make a great all day vape!

Throat hit was surprisingly quite mild in 5mg strength. Vapour production was very good and will not disappoint typical users.

Twisted

Pineapple ice cream with strawberry and lemon fruit ice with a hint of lemon and lime.

From the moment I opened the bottle I was greeted by the delightful smells of pineapple, strawberry, lime and lemon and this gave me a wonderful feeling of anticipation as I took my first vape. The flavour is simply…. lovely and you can certainly pick out the entire range of ingredients when vaping.

On the inhale you get pineapple and strawberry, and this is followed on the exhale by a hint of sweet lemon and a touch of zesty lime which leaves you with a very pleasant, mouth-watering sensation. The combination is extremely smooth due to the included ice cream and I could certainly see myself vaping this particular flavour often, because it is excellent!

Throat hit was medium in 5mg strength and I was perfectly satisfied with the generous vapour production.

Wham Star

Tongue Tingling Raspberry Flavour.

This flavour is an outstandingly fruity and absolutely delicious sweet raspberry! Just like those old Wham Bar sweets you might remember from your childhood since it leaves you with a marvellous, tongue tingling sensation after each exhale. As such I suspect it likely has some sugary sherbet in the mix.

As I am sure you can already gather, I found this flavour to be exceedingly enjoyable and in my opinion, it would make an awesome all-day vape!

Red Devil

The Original Cherry Menthol

In some ways I expected this to taste a lot like Cherry Tunes and it certainly does to an extent. What you get with this particular E-Liquid is a very cooling menthol based vape, but in case you are concerned, let me just stress that it is not the face-freezing variety. The cherry flavour is superb, nice and fruity, and very natural. If you enjoy cherry vapes and providing you get on with menthol, I see no reason why you wouldn’t enjoy this. Personally I could happily vape this all day long!

I found the throat hit to be medium and just like the other flavours, I could not fault the decent vapour production.

Olympic Dream

Blueberry and Pomegranate

I am not really a massive fan of pomegranate unless it is well mixed with another flavour but I must admit, I did really enjoy this flavour. On the inhale you can pick out the sweet taste of blueberry and this is then followed by a well-balanced pomegranate on the exhale. Both of the ingredients tasted very natural and I think it would be perfectly suitable as an all-day vape!

This was actually the one flavour which I received in 20mg strength and I was really expecting it to completely floor me but strangely enough it did not. I certainly got a serious nicotine rush but I found I could still vape it in a dripper without any adverse effects. Granted I only vaped a small amount but the actual throat hit while stronger than the 5mg I felt compared to a typical 6mg or 12mg E-Liquid. It wasn’t at all harsh and was surprisingly smooth. It’s a bit hard to say for sure how strong it would be in 5mg strength so I’ll cover myself by saying it is potentially medium to strong. Vapour production was very good.

Conclusion

Regarding the salt based nicotine, it most certainly does give you a quicker rush, exactly as advertised. However when I typically vape a flavour that is too high a strength of nicotine, I very quickly start to cough… feel dizzy, sick and just want to lie down, but that was not the case with the 20mg Dr. Salt E-Liquid. When I vaped it in my Taifun GT-III the nicotine was certainly a little more potent than regular nicotine E-Liquids but only to the point where I found myself having to take less vapes.

The difference was far more noticeable in my Hadaly RDA because after taking two or three hits my head was buzzing, but not in an unpleasant way and I found I could go much longer without taking another vape. As I am sure you can imagine this might certainly save you some money from a juice consumption point of view. Overall I was left very impressed by this salt based nicotine and was even more impressed by the 20mg which was nowhere near as potent as I expected. It was a real surprise because it was very smooth, and it actually gave me the enjoyment of a higher strength liquid in terms of nicotine rush, without a whole bunch of unpleasant side effects (meaning dizziness, headache etc.)

I think this is a really great range of E-Liquids both in terms of the offered flavours and also beacuse they offer something uniquely new with their salt based nicotine.
