Renegade Vape Wire

Renegade Wires produce quality building wires, at a budget price, with staples like A1 Grade Kanthal wire, and specialist wire like the all new Flat Wires, and even the Cloud Chasers favourite, Renegade X wire. You are sure to find a something that suits your needs! Renegade wires are produced in a specialist factory, are clean and made with safe to vape materials only. All packs include two packs of organic Japanese cotton.

My thoughts

Each pack contains a 15ft spool of wire and includes two pads of genuine Japanese cotton. The spools are decently put together and do have notches on them to hold your wire securely after you have cut a piece to the required length. The cotton pads are good quality Japanese cotton being very easy to work with and they wick well.

Even though I was sent pretty much every gauge of wire currently on offer I mainly only use 28 gauge these days and 26 gauge on occasion so it seemed best to only cover a couple of the packs. In my mind wire is wire so if one pack works out then it is unlikely that any of the others should be problematic. Besides if I covered all of the wire types this review would be very lengthy.

I initially tried the Kanthal 28 gauge wire in my GP Heron 1.5. I had no problems at all with the wire and it was easy to work with. I made a 1.2ohm coil and wicked it with Japanese cotton. In terms of vape quality I would say this wire gave me exactly the same kind of vape as I would have got with any of my other wire.

I then moved on to try out the 28 gauge Stainless Steel wire in my Achilles II RDA. I have tried a few Stainless Steel pre-made coils before but this was my first time working with Stainless Steel wire. In many respects it was a lot like working with Kanthal in that it shapes easily but it is definitely far more resilient as you would expect. This would make this wire type useful when you have an atomizer that has annoying screws which have a tendency to cut wire. I did find after making my coil that the resistance took a little longer to even out when heating up and pinching the coil but only marginally so.

I didn’t use the Stainless Steel wire in temperature control mode due to my suitable devices requiring charging at the time. Of course the beauty of Stainless Steel wire is that you can use it in Variable Wattage mode. I have to admit this wire type did result in very clean flavour and I was impressed with the vape that I got.

Even though I only received the Kanthal and Stainless Steel wire for review Grey Haze do also sell Renegade’s flat wire.

Conclusion

At the end of the day it is entirely up to you where you choose to get your wire from but should you be shopping at Grey Haze rest assured that if you need any wire to go with your purchase these products from Renegade Vape are well worth picking up!

Many thanks to Grey Haze who kindly sent this wire to Planet of the Vapes for us to review. If you would like to purchase any of this wire you can get it from Grey Haze.

What’s more we have several packs of wire to give away to two lucky winners so please see our competition.
