RELX International’s new disposables range crowned ‘Best Newcomer’ at the Vapouround Global vape awards 2023, and the company was named as winner in three different categories. WAKA (Empowered by RELX) scooped the award at the ceremony in Birmingham, when the industry’s major players came together to celebrate vaping’s biggest and best products and brands.

As well as ‘Best Newcomer’, the brand was also named as a winner in two additional categories, with the premium RELX Infinity 2 placing as one of the ‘Best Closed Pod System’ devices and the WAKA soPro named among the ‘Best Disposables’.

The impressive wins come shortly after RELX’s expansion into the disposables category with WAKA (Empowered by RELX) – a new range of disposables which launched in the UK this year, including WAKA soPro and WAKA soFit devices.

WAKA soPro, with 8W of power, and WAKA soFit , boasting 10W, both “deliver intense cloud bursts, while comfortably fitting inside small pockets,” according to RELX.

The devices have 600 puffs and an unparalleled taste profile thanks to a claimed “cutting-edge” MESH 2.0 coil which maximises the richness of flavour and smoothness.

The company adds: “WAKA soPro and WAKA soFit are available in several exciting flavours including Watermelon Chill, Blueberry Raspberry, Triple Mango, Pink Lemonade, Blueberry Splash, Strawberry Burst, Red Buzz, Kiwi Passion Guava, Pink Twist and Lemon Lime.”

Aaron Wei, UK General Manager at RELX International, said: “We’re thrilled to have won at this year’s Vapouround Awards, especially for our new premium WAKA devices.

“We constantly strive to offer our adult customers an elevated experience and state-of-the-art products, using design and ethical innovation. Winning against such prestigious competition is a testament to that.”

Since its formation in 2015, Vapouround has become a leading voice in the global vape industry, and the 2023 Global Awards attracted vape manufacturers and distributors from across the globe.
