A Riot That Cares

Northamptonshire juice company Riot Labs raises funds for a children’s charity and lift multiple awards at the end of the year

The promotion ran across the month of November in Island Vape’s Northampton, Corby and Billing Island vape stores. Every sale of Riot Squad Shortfill raised £0.50 and £0.25 from each Riot Salt sold. Sales generated £250 to be donated to Kids Aid which Riot Labs kindly doubled.

KidsAid is a Northampton based children's charity providing therapeutic support for children and young people who have suffered any form of trauma. Working with children and young people aged 3-18 years, they use a range of creative therapies to help children get through anxiety, attachment issues and behavioural difficulties. Some of these traumas can stem from bereavement, illness, peer pressure, bullying, family breakdown, domestic violence, neglect and physical or sexual abuse.

CEO Ben Johnson explained why they decided to donate to the charity: “Kids Aid does such an amazing job supporting children and young people to lead healthier, happier and more fulfilling lives. Especially at this time of year it's great to get involved with Island Vape to support their good work.”

Riot Labs followed up this act of goodwill by receiving the plaudits of customers and being placed in six categories in the annual Ecigclick Awards.

Riot Labs have taken home awards in the following categories:

  • E-liquid: Best UK Brand - Winner
  • E-liquid: Best Fruit - Winner
  • E-liquid: Best Beverage - Winner
  • Nic Salt: Best Brand - 2nd
  • E-liquid: Best Tobacco - 2nd
  • E-liquid: Best Menthol/Mint - 3rd

Planet of the Vapes won the category for best online forum again.

Ben Johnson said: “We really appreciate people voting for us this year. It’s been a tough year for everyone & we realise you may have had better things to do! Your support means a lot to us. With our award-winning products and flavours we look forward to continuing to push the boundaries of what’s possible in this industry.”

Riot Labs was established in 2016 by Johnson who has an extensive background in pharmaceuticals. He set out to build ‘Riot Squad’ into an innovative brand, with the aim of encouraging consumers to find the confidence to give up smoking and engage in a healthier alternative. Riot Squad is now one of the world’s most recognised brands with their uniquely designed bullet bottle. The products are now available in over 86 countries worldwide.

Island Vapes UK are the number one vape and e-liquid shop in Northamptonshire. With 3 stores across the Northampton area, they supply the best in e-liquids and kits for beginners and advanced vaper, with the aim to help people quit smoking.
