What's new

Will you pay £5.40 postage for eliquid and lithium batteries

It's airline regulations, so worldwide I think. It's just the UK and EU have been slack conforming to the new regulations until now afaik

I'll get the service added to our account and buy a shed load of batteries then :D

POTV's battery boy....
I'll buy plenty protected and unprotected 14500 if you get them...

I don't mind tbh, I usually choose the signed for option anyway as missing vapemail makes me a very sad Mandy

Surely they should start charging more to send toilet seats as I am sure I heard as a kid you can get pregnant from touching one. It's just another exercise to rinse more money out of businesses. I see they will still deliver these goods so they can't be that dangerous!

It will stop me from impulse buying, and instead of ordering stuff once a week it will be once a month. But it's not the vendors fault. :)

the problem with what you are saying about deal breaker there is .. ALL VENDORS will have to pay 5.40 ... so theoretically ... there wont be much of a variation any longer

Very true! Will just have to bulk buy, rather than in dribs and drabs...

One thing .. is this new edict Royal Mails greed? or is is coming down from the government in yet another effort to stop vaping ?

genuine question by the way

yo know what ... sometimes I wish it was back in the 80's again ... ffs .. Europe really is becoming a police state ... cant take a shit without proving its going in the same toilet of the house you ate in.

doing my swede in .. seriously thinking about life abroad

Price is greed imo mate. they have already increased the price more than once in the past year, what cost me £8.95 last year nows costs £13.25 for the same parcel ffs.
does it get there any quicker,, no.
i wouldn't normally mind as you expect a small increase but it takes the piss when they announce the x amount of millions profit they rake in, just like the energy companies. :3dmad:

wtf we doing in the EU is still beyond me, so buy another ticket while your at it ZT i'm coming with ya.

Due to Royal Mail's new regulations with eliquid and batteries all restricted goods must be sent using their 'Tracked™' service. This will be a guaranteed next day delivery like special delivery and will be fully tracked, meaning that it will be logged and trackable at each point along the delivery route.

The thing is, it's expensive at £5.40 a pop

How about it?
Would definitely start bulk buying batteries/juice to justify those kinds of costs from Royal Mail.
But actually... as your down the road I might start asking if I can do cash on collection instead!

This is affecting many, I have friends who have a small aromatherapy business, they have already mentioned about changing their minimum postal order sizes, and I can imagine there are other types of business who send liquids on a regular basis..

Battery vendors are going to be hit hard too...

and those who need batteries for any device will find themselves short changed by Royal Mail...

So does this cover all liquids or only those containing nicotine? Sorry if this is a dumb question, im just a bit confused.
