Had the jab

American do love their wacky conspiracy theories don't they?!

Anyway....3 days on since i got my 2nd jab..and i'm pleased to report that bar a mild ache in my left arm the following day...since then i've suffered no other common or non common side effects whatsoever, including the seemingly odd experience of iron based metal objects suddenly gravitating towards me.

Happy days. :)2

Pretty much deaf in my right ear, although my hearing is randomly restored then becomes poor again. So much so that I cant hear or understand what people are saying, when they have a mask on. My wife has noticed that I cant hear properly and a mate says I was talking very loudly. Never had this issue pre first and second jab. I'm fairly certain that deafness has flagged up on the yellow card scheme, although I haven't gone looking for it.

get it checked out andi asap

I have an appointment at Boots on Thursday, although I don't see how a 15 minute hearing test is going to sort this out, they are after all only really interested in selling expensive hearing aids. I've done some online frequency tests, I seem to have failing hearing in both ears, my right ear cant pick up high frequencies and my left struggles with lower frequencies. I've genned up on hearing problems and the jabs, found out some quite interesting and worrying stuff, I'm not going into it now, see what happens on Thursday.

Thankyou andi proud of you for doing this get it checked and see what they say it’s a start but tell them how this has happened the trouble with hearing loss even if you had a short cold/flu it can cause hearing loss in relation to the jab it’s unknown but it’s still a form of virus. There is a chance if it’s proven you could claim compensation

I had preexisting issues with tinnitus, mine was of the pulsatile variety, not had any issue for years and years. Now I also seem to have a new type of tinnitus, from high frequency buzzing to low droning, and whooshing noises, which started about 2 or 3 days after the 2nd jab. All random, comes and goes, usually followed by complete silence, sometimes for days, totally weird. The following is quite interesting, shit loads of comments, are all these people lying or deluded, I can relate to a lot of what is being said.

I have bilateral tinnitus from working in heavy industry it started in my 30s it put me on my knees it's a killer but also I lost over time 50% in hearing in the vocal range known as a cookie bite the aids I have now can pump white noise into my ears to mask the tinnitus if I need them to0 but they are also set to work around it after a while i learnt to ignore tinnitus in my mind but as I type this I can hear it that's the thing as soon as you think about it. It pops back up, like a reset button. the biggest fear with all hearing loss is Meniere's disease that is nasty I had 2 MRI scans (called in a favour) both checked out ok thank god. but don't worry get it checked there are lots of methods to overcome tinnitus but the main one is acceptance don't fight it if you have it you have to work with it the mind is a powerful thing.

I have tinnitus but it's a strange one. Not there all the time but is usually brought on by thing's like the high pitched whistle you get when you blow air from an airgun into a blind hole.
My hearing is damaged to a degree. I have Vestibular Ocular Reflex which doesn't help. Probably got that from head trauma year's ago.
I'm guessing my hearing damage was caused by gun fire, explosions, being near tank's when they let loose and in later life, working in a press shop, all without hearing protection.

However, it's peculiar that I struggle sometimes to hear what people are saying, especially in a crowded room as I keep "zoning " out and all I hear is the background noise, but I can hear the smallest things such as a mouse rustling in the undergrowth. Go figure !

Menieres disease is bad. I know this as my Aunt had it. I certainly hope I don't get that.

I had a CAT scan, I think it was, it wasn't an MRI, in 2011, the specialist suspected an acoustic neuroma, nothing was found :) I started looking up Menieres disease and have stopped, fcuk that shit.

Hmm, I have a sleep disorder called hyperarosual insomnia, it's a distant relative of ptsd, according to the sleep clinic specialist. I can/ used to hear a pin drop, the slightest noise, I was awake. Maybe you have a bit of ptsd, it would be understandable.

Possibly, I'm not a very good sleeper. For the past 15/20 year's I maybe get 3 or 4 hour's interrupted sleep a night.
Doesn't ptsd cause you to become worried or panic over thing's ? That's not me. I mull thing's over a lot but I don't class that as panicking. I'm fussy, a bit of a perfectionist and don't like incompetence though [emoji23]
