Ouch! Postage cost alone takes us into customs VAT territory

We understand where you're coming from. We used to offer a tiered shipping option where international orders over $100 shipped free. The reason we changed it is because of the discount we're offering. We can't afford to offer 60% off and pay for the entire cost of shipping. The juice comes in glass bottles and it doesn't take much for the boxes to get heavy.

We thought based on the current shipping rates and the discount we're running that a $19.99 flat rate was fair. With a 60% discount it still allows people living outside the United States to have access to our juice at a good price. Admittedly, it works out better for you the more juice you order.

It may be worth it to some to import from N America, generally I find personal imports always get hit with UK Customs Import VAT plus carrier admin charge and this is levied on a total purchase cost - including postage - of 15 GBP (approx 19 USD) and the charges are usually 8 GBP admin fee plus 20 per cent VAT of total value (incl. postage cost) so more often than not this makes importing from outside the EU expensive.
Chinese vendors have found ways to lower postage costs so it makes it a lot easier to avoid import duty.
US postal services also seem much more likely to declare full value while Far East sellers can use poetic licence.
Means in UK we are more likely to get stung on US imports than on China imports.

As I say though, it may still (with that very generous discount) be worthwhile buying from you. Good luck with your ventures.
