Almost 1,500 more confirmed cases of coronavirus have been recorded in Surrey after changes to the figures the government releases each day.
Figures announced today (Friday, July 3) show that the number of positive Covid-19 tests increased significantly in the county.
The number of confirmed cases in Surrey since the pandemic began is now 4,540 - an extra 1,499 cases compared to Wednesday's figure of 3,041.
It comes after results from people being tested both through Pillar 1 (in hospitals) and Pillar 2 (through drive-through test centres and swabs sent by post) were included in the Public Health England data.
Previously, only hospital test figures were published in the daily round-up.

The number of confirmed cases across the UK stands at 284,276 after today's update, with 544 confirmed in the last 24 hours

UK-wide deaths related to Covid-19 now stand at 44,131, an increase of 137 in the last 24 hours.

In Surrey, four new deaths have been confirmed in the last 48 hours.

Below is a breakdown of the total number of deaths at each trust that operates a hospital within Surrey.

Some of the trusts, such as Frimley Health and Epsom and St Helier, also run hospitals outside of the county, so it is difficult to obtain an accurate figure for Surrey alone.

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust – 362 (increase of one)

Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust – 273 (increase of one)

Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust – 257 (increase of one)

Ashford and St Peter's NHS Foundation Trust – 182 (increase of one)

Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust – 97 (no change)

Woking Community Hospital – one (no change)

Nuffield Health, Woking – one (no change)

Mount Alvernia, Guildford – two (no change)

Walton Community Hospital - three (no change)

St Magnus in Haslemere - one (no change)
