This might relate just to my wife. Me and the lion tamer went out on Saturday to book a holiday. Holiday booked, and then she dragged me around some clothe shops. She bought a few bits, and I bought a new hoodie and some socks. We get home and she threw all the new clothes in the washing machine. I said "Why do you always put new clothes in the washer" She came out with her usual reply "you don't know where they have been" It does my fuckin head in. Do any other nut job ladies on the forum do such a thing?
Like I'm gonna catch herpes off new clothes or summat!!!!!

Women try clothes on in the changing rooms a lot more than men do, though.

Reckon she's got her head screwed on properly, actually.

"What kind of hazardous chems are we talking about here? Well, in one sampling of 141 name-brand clothing items purchased in 18 countries, 63 per cent contained compounds outlawed in the West called nonylphenol ethoxylates used for processing the fabric.

Yep, they were in the finished fibres of pants and tops they tested, the same ones you buy in the store. Turns out we're washing these outlawed chems down our drains."

Yep, I always wash new clothes. I have eczema and the slightest thing sets it off.

I always wash new clothes. They feel all stiff and scratchy otherwise!

Ever since I once bought a black cotton shirt and wore it without washing it first, took it off later to find it had dyed my skin a blue colour, I wash before wearing.
