Fresh bread, sliced like a doorstep and dripping in salted butter, love it.

Come anywhere near me with processed bread covered in margarine at your own peril.

Staple part of my diet - always Warburtons Toastie white, well buttered with Lurpak as soon as the toaster pops up and have it as is or with jam at breakfast time. Lunch is the same routine but with cheese and tomato (sometimes crisps in too) or Branston or salad cream with the cheese (always Scottish coloured mature cheddar from Lidl) Toasted cheese is another regular, either with ketchup, or sliced tomato has been my go to the last couple of weeks. And occasionally I'll knock up cheese and Branston toasties in the skillet. Toast with lentil or tomato soup, toast and beans.

    Toast is okay I s'pose...

Yes, with Lurpak butter. I don't like toast from a toaster though, has to be done over the hob with a toasting fork. I haven't had toast in years now since I no longer have a toasting fork and not bothered to find one.

Burgen Soya and Linseed bread, toasted with cheese or buttered and a thick layer of Marmite.

The right man for this thread.

Sometimes when I have toast and marmite I wait for the toast to cool down before putting the butter on. Then just the thinnest scraping.

Looks like we fall into 'hot or cold' camps.

Cold toast is a big cruton!
