DNB = ‘Dirty Neutral Base’ and this is something that http://4drops.co.uk sells pre made added to nicotine base as a base with extras – they are good at this sort of premix..

People who have bought it have raved about its quality, in the same way that I have enthused about the smokey/ashtray effect in the Tino D’Milano tobacco concentrates. It gives that extra dimension to vaping that some ex smokers miss / love /hanker for in a vape. It really helps with tobacco concentrates.

I wanted to test this over various strengths so made up 30 ml of each ( I also made up a 1% sample – not reviewed). http://4drops.co.uk also recommend that some of their Wera Garden tobacco concentrates are mixed into this – so part of the reason for the ‘big’ volume mixes was to create some Dirty Neutral Base and do back to back mixes with and without this.

Additionally a few people have wondered about the prospect of creating some ‘smokiness’ in things like Capella Vanilla Custard and this is the opportunity to do that . On with the review(s)…

Review Mix 1 – the mild additive.

At a half a percent this added some smokiness and body but not much and behaved very much like MTS from Flavour Art

Review Mix 2 – the ‘mild cigarette’.

This got down and dirty here and delivered loads of smokiness that ‘ashtray feel’ and a bit of tobaccoyness. If you smoked Silk Cut milds, everything you ever wanted in a vape is here. If you up the percentage, say to 3% you’ll get more of everything and more of that mild cigarette flavour & bags of vapour and ashtray effect.

Steeping

Benefits from a few days to fully infuse. It works better this way added to base first than just adding the concentrate when mixing.

Vapour

Good to excellent depending on strength

Throat hit

At 2% it is certainly there

Value -commentary

£3.59 for 7ml and 51p per ml is up in the stratosphere for anything from http://4drops.co.uk. The only concentrate I have that is more expensive is Bitter Wizard. BUT – this stuff is the absolute business, particularly for tobacco vapes and – as an additive, you don’t need much of it in your base. And if you were adding it at 3% and vaping it on its own it would be good value too.

Use as a mixing ingredient

Absolutely brilliant. I am going to be adding this to base as steeping it out before mixing tobacco flavour vapes as it really adds a lot of the missing bits and does it so well.

I have also added it to a VG base for Capella Vanilla Custard and am looking forwards to this when it has steeped fully.

Effects on tanks and atomizers and any known ‘nasties’

The swiss army knife of tobacco concentrates, Inawera dnb seems to fix everything.
