2021 Reviews & Updates

Another one in the pipeline waiting to go live is the Rincoe Jellybox 80W - I love it as much as the dual battery one - 9/10

There's a coupon code in the review but it probably won't be up until a week so here's the code:

Just finished reviewing the new Kizoku Oaker & Shima kit, simple kit which didn't take long but damn is it a great MTL vape!

Should go up mid next week but I gave it a solid 9/10
(I had to put aside my personal bias of frozen piss colour - I would get the SS version in a heartbeat)

The RBA is what makes this kit shine in my opinion, the flavour and tight draw I am getting from this 18mm tank is easily in my top 3

I only had 1 Con, the included bubble glass, the 19mm/18mm I actually like, which was a surprise to my OCD.

The Kizoku Oaker kit won't be published until its release date 20th April, but trust me on this one, if you enjoy MTL RTA's and get the opportunity to order one then go for it, for an 18mm tank it is incredible, it's even better than the Limit MTL RTA, I've no idea how they managed it either, visually I can't see anything that makes it as good as it is? Its magic I tell thee!

The ratchet airflow control is pretty cool too.

So far 2021 has been quite the year for MTL, I'm struggling to keep pace with it, my favourites are being replaced too quickly :11:

I am sorting out a pile of stuff to pass along in another giveaway batch, I just need to sell a couple to cover the postage costs first.

Currently in use:
  • Kizoku Limit SBS Mtl - Just too good to sit unused.
  • Joyetech Obliq Pod - I wish the draw was tighter but I bloody love it.
  • Kizoku Oaker MTL - Easily my favourite pocket MTL kit.
  • Digiflavor Z1 kit - New toy but I'm confident this will be a long stayer.
  • Innokin Endura T22 MTL My Sceptre's are well and truly retired now!
  • Vaporesso PX80 DL My much loved PM80's are also now retired)
  • Geekvape Obelisk DL - As much as I hate shiny Black I am proper enjoying this cloud chucker!
I will stop there, there are others I rotate but 2021 is crazy so far, with lock-down & shielding I've not been out as much so DL stuff is used less at the moment.

Stuff I will carry on using (new coils/pods ordered)
  • Joyetech EVIO C Pod - Pretty sure this is the best MTL Pod I've tried, a bit boring looking though.
  • Wotofo Manik - Genuinely pissed off when my pod ran out, if it had a lanyard hoop this would be my car vape.
  • Hotcig RDS 80W TC Pod Kit - Struggling to find coils but absolutely on my shopping list - damn this thing is sooooo good.
  • Vaporesso XTRA Pod - The MTL auto-draw is slightly too loose but good enough, this is on a lanyard and around my neck most days.

Taking one for the team as nobody else wanted it, in my opinion Smok just don't get MTL, they always fuck up the airflow, could this pod prove me wrong?

Artery PAL 3

This is one I requested, I LOVED the PAL 1 & 2 so I'm hoping the 3 doesn't disappoint, it sure looks good.

I'm spoilt for choice with MTL RTA's, can this one stand out from the crowd?

Vandy Vape Requiem BF Kit

When this was offered up to review I pounced on it, I do like my mech squonkers and this could actually beat my GeekVape Athena's (I have 4 of em!)

Flavour is good but the draw is way too loose for MTL.

I just love this kit - The included coils are a nice touch but I'm preferring plain wire.

One for the cloud lovers, flavour is superb too, I just wish it wasn't Black - forever wiping my grubby paw prints off it.

Innokin Endura T22 Pro
Should be live tonight but I was shocked how good this kit is for MTL, genuinely shocked as on paper I thought it was going to be shite.
Thanks goes to @Innokin for this surprise MTL treat.

Aspire Neeko MTL RTA
Aspire sent me a pre-production sample but I hit a slight snag during my review and had to send it back.
Hopefully a production version should arrive soon, I was bloody loving this RTA and gutted they needed it back, one to keep an eye on for sure.

Vaporesso Luxe Q Pod Kit
Only just arrived so I need to photograph it before I can test it, but if the MTL draw is good then I can see me loving this little beauty, LUXE title really suits it and much smaller than the Luxe PM40, could this finally replace my XTRA which I still use a lot?

Well I've had another pleasant surprise with the Luxe Q Pod from @Vaporesso
The auto draw and tightness is spot on for my MTL tastes with the 1.2 Ohm pod with the flavour you would expect from Vaporesso coils.

Choice just got harder but this one is going onto a lanyard as my new car and Vespa vape :)

I will get my full review up soon but it has jumped up ahead of the Manik and Evio C, flavour is close but the looks and the perfect mouthpiece win.

Just received the Vandy Vape Requiem BF kit from @Healthcabin to review.
https://www.healthcabin.net/vandy-vape-requiem-bf-kit-p/26508.html
Mine is a sample as it's still a pre-order

Surprising first impressions, the mod is pretty solid and much heavier than I expected, the panel is pretty thick with a rubber seal to prevent any panel wobble and the square squonk bottle feels spot on as the squeeze is more restrictive than round bottles which should please those that dislike soft silicone bottles.

The body looks and feels like a CNC machined billet but looks like it has been die-cast, the inside appears to have a coating, no idea if its non-conductive though (I will check), the switch contact strip is impressive, much thicker than others I have seen resulting in a springier and longer switch throw which should last longer, the little locking dial works a charm.

I'm not sure about the RDA, it doesn't really suit the mod as the top cap is plastic, but I am glad to see it's a single coil RDA as it only takes an18650 battery, it's only 22mm but the build deck and top cap shape look promising for flavour over clouds.

The kit bundle is very generous as there's lots of goodies, including a couple of bottles, a couple of beauty rings and some matchy Requiem battery wraps, along with RDA's bits and pieces with a decent size screwdriver.

I will be comparing it to the Geep Vape Athena but so far they both have their own merits, the Athena is much lighter but the Requiem has far better internals though.

Apart from the RDA it all looks and feels high end and old-school, obviously the performance of the RDA will affect the score but I can't see this scoring under an 8/10.

How quickly things change in 2021, already the Vaporesso Luxe Q has been beaten by Smok of all brands! :11:

The ACRO was bloody decent but the new NOVO 4 MTL pod is one of the best I've tested so far, the flavour and tight as a nun's chuff draw is a real surprise.

Smok are winning me back in 2021 so far, 2 reviews that should go up next week:

The Smok Morph 2 is a proper cloud chucker, vaping the dual coil 0.15 Ohm at 120 watts and the vape is superb.

The RPM 4 is the polar opposite and more of a RDL pod at 25 watts.

Looks like some decent sized wick ports on the coils too.

Yeah Smok have been much better with their coils and wicking ports, the coil life has been decent but I've killed both from constant use so I've run out and missing it already.
