I must say i've never been happier with a Fasttech clone, this one is simply flawless. It's listed on FT as 4Nine V2 style but we all know it's a Tarsius Prime :)

Firstly a breakdown.

Box: Nicely presented and all the parts look immaculate, i believe that's the female logo on the box? Tarsius customs have this weird male/female thing going on.

Switch is bloody nice, luxurious i'd say, the Delrin insulator can be adjusted for battery rattle, it has to be said there aren't many thready for the insulator though so could fail after time, not a problem if you're buying a cheap ass clone such as this, more worrisome on a genuine though.

Now this is how i'd prefer my mods, 1 single tube in sections instead of 3 different tubes for 18350/500/650, and also the adaptors are seamless, can feel a slight seem when running your fingers accross them but to look at it, you'd think it was all one piece.

Switch looks almost seamless, but i think we can forgive it for that being a clone, also has about a 2mm throw, but the throw is pretty smooth straight out of the box, graphite pencil trick was only marginally better, i've never had a better switch on a clone if i'm honest. Locking ring is reverse threaded.

Top cap has a nice Delrin insulator so perfect for flat top batteries, only thing i'll say though is if your 510 centre pin is very short and non-adjustable you may have trouble making decent contact with the battery.

And here it is built up, Currently using it in 18350 mode with a Doge clone for when i fancy a few moderate clouds, this mod hits like a train!

5/5 from me for this mod, if you must have a nice and simple / attractive looking 22mm mod then this is for you :)

*EDIT* I've discovered further in the thread that this is indeed 20x1 threaded, except for the switch, which means no paps switch upgrade but you CAN use a hybrid adaptor like the following...
$5.55 M20x1 Hybrid 510 Adapter for Mechanical Mods (3-Pack) 3-pack - brass + copper + stainless steel at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Unfortunately the threads aren't long enough to accomodate the Heron in hybrid mode, leaves a 1.5mm gap :(

It may accomodate the Aqua V2 in hybrid mode, i'll find out shortly as mine is on the way from China :D

Do you know what threading it is mate?

Actually, just checked FT looks like it's M20 x 0.5 - hybrid adapter for the 4Nine should work.

I think it's 20x0.75, just tried my 20x0.5 Stingray X adaptor and no luck :(

I've got a 4nine and prime clone from FT and the threading is different, the hybrid top caps are not interchangeable. i think (but not 100% sure) that the prime threads are 20x1. i can get my GP paps clone top cap to screw into the prime, and i think the GP paps threading is 20x1.

if that helps...

BD1 is saying it's not 20x1. Though I'm pretty sure the Paps clone is 20x1.

Have you got the same SKU as BD1?

i have this one

https://www.fasttech.com/products/1920900

and afaik its the only stainless one they do?

theres a discussion thread on the listing regarding threading of the mod, and the member is talking about batch 1 & 2, but i think they are talking about batches of the hybrid adaptor they're testing in it. i seem to remember some discussion about the threading on the adaptors being incorrectly listed.

My Heron clone is 20x1 and won't screw into it :(

*EDIT*

Just figured it out!! mine IS 20x1 threaded, just the threads are too damn short for the Heron by 1.5mm leaving a nasty gap :O But the plot thickens!! the switch ISN'T 20x1 threaded.

I do have a spare Heron clone, considering grinding off a couple of mm of thread in the morning
