Hey Apes,
I was lucky enough to win a Voopoo Caliber a little while ago and Voopoo offered to post DHL instead of slow post if i wouldn't mind putting a little review on here for you lovely lot so here it goes.
So the Voopoo Caliber is Voopoo's latest vape stick. It's a meaty pen style kit that hits you with a 110w of power (non adjustable) which is around the area to get my style of vape out of the supplied UFORCE tank (obviously subjective).
It has a built-in 3000mAh 23600 battery wich with moderate vaping would last me from about 7am till about 8pm before the device would cut out (rated at around 200 puffs). The device feels really well made and is comfy to use although pretty light. it has a gold plated top and a gold plated button wich add a little style (IMO).
The caliber is powered by Voopoo's legendary Gene chip which supports a no-delay 10ms firing speed.
The UFORCE tank. Well aswell as tanks go I quite liked it. it has a push slide fill system that works really well. I have had absolutely zero hints at a leak and i have even left it sitting for a week half full of juice and there's absolutely narda (think this is due to a double o'ring system they have) It delivers a nice moist vape with the 0.15 ohm coil in. It has 3 adjustable air vents so you can customise depending on flavour. It has a new design where their engineers have shortened the air outlet and air inlet so you can enjoy "Clouds for Dayz Bro" without to much over heating.
It comes with your usual extras in the box that you would expect from Voopoo like warranty card, Mod and tank user manual, charging cable, two coils (0.15 and 0.23) and also a spare bubble tank (which i chucked straight on) and also a decent amount of spare o'rings but no orange seal for the fill port.
So day one I received the mod and set it up and wacked it on charge while the battery was charging. I had a quick go and was really pleasantly surprised. I haven't used a tank in a long time and was pleased with the taste and vapour production of the UFORCE. I then went out to the park with the family and the kit kept up all day. I never had any problems with dry hits or miss fire. I was very happy with build quality and finish, in fact i was quite a fun on the colour and finnish of this mod. It felt weirdly comforting and right...... it wasn't until i was driving home from the park and the mod was in the centre consol it dawned on me. It felt so right because it looked just like my old stinkies. In the corner of my eye it looked like a packed of Golden Vaginia lol. Right onto some pros and cons
Pros:
Usual 5 click safety on off
Good build quality and finnish
Ok battery life for a single battery mod
Good supply of o'rings
Nice packaging
No leek tank
Cons:
Non adjustable wattage
No battery indicator
And one more con which may not be much for someone but was quite a bug bare for me. When you put it on charge after about 30 mins or so it for some reason turns on. I would grab it off charge in a rush and chuck it in my pocket and it would end up firing. I tested it a few times and if it was a quick charge it would stay switched off but if i was doing a full charge when i picked it up it was unlocked ready to fire. I always keep my mods well out of reach of little hands but this is a risk i just couldn't have around them. I now only charge it at night and put straight into a high cupboard.
But this doesn't take away from the fact its a really well made and good performing mod.
Would I buy one.... Probably not as its just not up to my style of vape. I would have bought one to bridge the gap between ego pen and variable wattage mod in the early days. So if your a fairly new vapour who is looking for something a little more powerful than a starter kit i would recommend this as there is no setting system to get lost in and accidently change.
Keep it cloudy people
