Sorry to derail the thread (albeit only slightly). On the 8th of December I will be embarking on a two and a half thousand mile road trip to Finland, taking me pretty much the length of Sweden, all the way up the side of the Caspian Sea. Does anybody know how available snus is? Is it like stopping at a BP and grabbing a pack of Bensons? Or will I have to drive into a town and find a Snus-bacconist?

Secondly, I think its quite freely available over there, but the ultimate snus is Swedish Match, but they wont export it ........If only I knew someone who was going on a roadtrip to Finland, and taking most of Sweden in on his way though.....hmmmmm

And, I assume based on the fact we can order it here, that it's legal to bring it into the country? If so, I'll try and grab a bit of Swedish Match to pass round on my return in the new year.

Its fine to buy for personal consumption m'Lord - its illegal to sell it outside of Sweden (and maybe Norway?), that's why specialist tobacconists can't get hold of it to sell in the UK. Hope this helps?

Yup, thanks Just checked the HMRC website and it doesn't come in line for Tobacco duty either. So, a few tins should be ok then
