What's new

Did you go out today?

Just been reading articles about people still going out and ignoring the social distancing, hopefully the government will step in because it's getting ridiculous. they just don't care if they infect someone or not. The Police seem powerless to stop them from what I have been reading. The government should clamp down on these people it's totally wrong what they are doing, when someone they know dies they will be the first to blame someone else. They want shooting with their own shit imo.

Yip go out every day dog walking.....it remains busy , but people are following the social distancing thing....but the dog shit bins are now overflowing and bags scattered all around them.

We we the long way round to Tesco. Along the sea front. Very few people about. Beautiful day, blew the cobwebs away!

I think the media are blowing that out of proportion. I don’t think it’s right to make assumptions about people and whether they care or not from a photo in the media. I think the police are taking the right approach currently - talking to people, but in a mostly calm, friendly way. There’s the very real danger of civil unrest if things aren’t handled right.

Went for walk in the park after work and there are still plenty of people ignoring the social distancing here. Plenty are sticking to it but some are still meeting up with people to have picnics and to socialise, quite shocking to be honest.

@Leni They need to learn that their behaviour is unacceptable, this is one of the reasons why the body count is on the rise. Any normal person would stick to what's been suggested and stay at home, and this isn't just the media blowing everything out of proportion which I admit they always do, video footage and photographs don't lie, and the blatant disregard for other peoples safety is ridiculous, let the idiots cause civil unrest then they can be dealt with in a proper manner.

I've had bad dreams too. Including one where I was working for Boris Johnson .............. :11:
I had an horrific nightmare and Corbin was a vampire, he was that busy moaning though I never got bitten. lol.

I woke up early this morning, gave myself a bit of a stern talking to, and forced myself out for a walk. I enjoyed it actually, headed past my old school and on to the local common. The roads are so quiet, and the birds are all busying themselves gathering bits for nests. At one point, a blackbird was in the path, and as I walked towards it, it gave me the most quizzical look, as if it wasn’t used to seeing larger beings much anymore :D

On the way back, I hit Home Bargains and Iceland for a few bits. I wanted some decent yogurt, but ended up leaving Iceland with some accidental Ben & Jerry’s instead :oops2:

I’ve been watching the birds out the back of our flat quite a bit. There were seven magpies in the tree the other day. Two years ago two magpies nested in it, but last year they moved about 100m to a taller tree to escape the squirrels. Last year their old nest was squatted by a pair of wood pigeons who used it to have their babies.

But I think another pair of magpies must be moving in. I think they only gather in more than two when they are trying to resolve territorial disputes. And yesterday there were two back again, scoping out the old nest.
