I can definitely say that the culprit of vanishing wick is the juice - commercial juice (it could be diy too, but haven't ventured that far yet). Got me a tpa cinnamon, made a 2% mix, and while it is fairly sweet on its own and I have vaped 20mls (as of this post), the wick is still going strong.

I wonder if gunk is what makes the cotton melt. When my cotton was melting, I had loads of gunk on the coil(s).
