What's new

Ehpro True MTL RTA

Received one of those myself recently too, I forget from whom. I guess I aint a fidgetter as it's lain at the side of the table gathering dust since it arrived.

Yeh..but what's it for? It just goes round...and round...and round........that's it!

Anyhoo..i haven't fidgeted since i were a wee lad..mibbe i'll give it to me 9yo nephew instead. Mind you, like kids today, i doubt he'll be interested in it....his face is glued to a playstation most of the time!

I'm so glad i grew up in the 1980's, when video games were simple...like PacMan, today's kids seem to be far too preocupied with electronic gizmo's these day.....not good for them.

I reckon in decades to come they'll be a massive growth in shortsightedness as a result of modern gaming.

Anyway.....i've gone :offtopic:

It’s to stop you fiddling with your bits when not fiddling with your vapes

Pilgrim coils have arrived, gee that was quick...i only ordered them yesterday.

Also got a free gift too...but what on earth is a Fidget Spinner??!!

Got one of those too. Got bored and fidgety after 2 mins.

Hello guys,

I'm new here, I registered specifically for this thread, but it looks like a cool place, so I guess I'll hang around for a while.
Anyway, I got the Ehpro true MTL today and I have already 3 wicking tries and I get it flooded all the time. I thought I solved it after reading here that I must trim the ends to not touch the base. I got in 10 clean (and great) puffs, but now I have liquid everywhere :( what am I doing wrong? I am not really a n00b, I have an Ares, a Siren2 and a Vapor Giant M5. No flooding problems ever.

Where is it flooding ????

Through the air flow control hole ???
or
worse at the bottom of the tank itself ???

if it is through the AFC hole then raise the coil as too low will increase the risk of leaking through AFC
better for coil to be a smidge too high than too low - it isn't THAT precise in wicking once you grasp the gist of it

if it is leaking at the base of the tank onto mod - that is QC & the AFC is slightly oval allowing a poor fit/seal

if it floods or gurgles asap then change the glass - the bubble glass is quite prone to doing this due to recent poor QC
the bubble glass if crap like on two True's gurgled straight away - WTF & had to return to std glass on those = no gurgle

it is a great tank, really is but alas I have some issues with QC on one or two tanks that could/should have been avoided
(if the QC was better prior to leaving the factory - a shame coz this good tank doesn't need poor QC adding to its minor slight qwirks)
Not really a qwirk as such, just need to suss the technique, but really not a biggy unless you have a suspect tank to begin with

Really after you suss the coil height - not too low, the wicking or tail lengths etc... you "should" be golden
hope some of this crap (most of which I posted before), hope some of this helps

Not really using mine at the moment, but when I did I didn't get any problems with it. Could be a QC issue. Check O rings and maybe replace them.

I'll try this tomorrow.
There was no leaking at the bottom, just through the airflow. And upwards in my mouth, it felt like the whole bell was full of liquid :(

Can you post pics of your build?

juice in ya mush is serious flooding, also try the other glass
the bubble was wanked on 2 of mine but you "might" have a wanked straight std glass so consider trying the bubble or vice versa
one bubble was a bit oval-ish & another had a slight chip in it
when I assembled these I knew almost straight away was fucked coz these True's don't flood unless something is fucked like glass/seal

These tanks don't really flood or gurgle, they might leak until you suss it but they don't really flood unless something is way out of whack
(well so I found, but I might have just sussed the wicking bollocks on them)

The coil should sit about 2mm above the jet/hole - other tanks you can sit the coil really low but not too low on the True's

no fancy coils - just some kanthal 6 or 7 wraps maybe producing 1.2 Ohms give or take a bit maybe about 11w give or take a watt perahps
or until you get the flavour - shouldn't need mega watts on this tank, really shouldn't need it - but you'll suss what coil/watts works
(you're not a noob)

think raise the coil a smidge and check the glass/seals if she floods/gurgles, coz that is a sign of a bad seal on that True tank especially
