The new version seems to utilize the same improved battery-door, which is also on the TAC21 and the screen has a cover over it - again just like the TAC21.
Now I wonder wether it still has the same shitty coating, which rubs off after the first month....

Picked it up one day and the screen was blank. Tried stripping it down and cleaning it but it was kaput.

What a waste.... I've got one too now... had a rebel dna 75c which was of a shite quality. After the body of it broke i picked up this one... hope it lives)

It was a great mod to use. The shape was very tactile.
I've been lucky with my gear. This is the only mod I've had that died.
