What's new

Another tale of battery woe.

"bag of batteries"

Tells me all I need to know.
The article did say the batteries were stored in a ' container', but does not elaborate.
As I said, more information is required to find the cause of this unfortunate event.

It ought to be either a ‘box’ or ‘case’ - if it was such they’d of used those words.

Sound like a pair of twats.

It isn't on the national news, it is on the BBC Essex pages. It does say the batteries were in a case. I'd like to know what type of case and what the state of the wraps was like. But I guess we'll never know.

said container was probably an old baccy tin. If kept in the correct plastic case there's no way they would just vent. You can bet its user error and they are talking bs to try and get compo.

Edit, more likely the case came open and the batteries touched metal or had or got torn wraps

Quote: "The batteries had been in a container away from the e-cigarette."

'Container' could mean almost anything.
