Jesus I must be getting old, I clearly recall running in the house and asking for 10p for the van! In those days that could get me a packet of crisps and a couple of penny sweets.

A few years later, 20p would get me two fags and 2 matches. Everybody was a match lighting expert, waste one of them and you were fucked. The ice cream vans were a bit dodgy round my bit...
