New rule announced on the advertising of electronic cigarettes

I just read it as blah blah blah. Don't know whether the ending was any good as I nodded off.

At some point in future an e-cig, juice or tank manufacturer/retailer or a website will be taken to court for 'breaking the law' in regards to promoting or advertising a product, or products.
At that point things will be clearer (or not ! ) as a president will be set for future court cases.
Until that point comes, we know fuck all :p

Took a bit of perseverance, but some pertinent points seem to be:

In practice ads for the following products are prohibited:
Nicotine-containing disposable e-cigarettes 
Nicotine-containing e-liquids 
Any e-cigarette which can be used to consume nicotine-containing e-liquid even if it is marketed as being for the consumption of non-nicotine e-liquid.

And:

Media which are subject to the prohibitions The rule in the CAP Code contains two bullet points. The first prohibits advertisements in:  newspapers
magazines
periodicals
The second bullet point prohibits ads in “online media and some other forms of electronic media”.

Sounds like it has implications for the forum.

Prohibits ads in online media? Hmm, could have implications for youtubers too, if taken to the extreme as a review could be seen as an advert? Bit draconian.

It does say this right at the beginning...
"unlicensed, nicotine-containing electronic cigarettes in some non-broadcast media. "
So only unlicensed and only some non-broadcast media. Whatever that means?
