"Inhaling works on your respiratory system
Ingesting works on your digestive system

While both will eventually reach your blood stream, digesting is alot quicker and therefore more dangerous."

I'm not trying to be a pedant. I'm a big fan of shared information but it's important that it be accurate. Inhaling is one of the quickest methods of drug delivery - almost as quick as intravenous. Digestion is one of the slower methods but what makes it problematic is that it involves various digestive filtration methods which ultimately leads the drug to be passed through the liver via the portal circulation. This is called 'first pass'. Inhaling bypasses these processes by entering the circulation primarily through gaseous exchange in the lungs.
