Disasterous attempt at scotish roll

Yep same rba section and 50/50 juice at the moment.

Hmm, I have no idea what the problem is then. I use CB and 2.5 ID with 70/30 VG juice, a 26 gauge 0.7ohm contact coil and can push it well over 30 watts (I only vape around 20), chain vape and no problems with the wicking method in the video. It's been 100% fool proof for me. Since using it I'v pushed simple builds in the RBA right upto 50 watts whereas before I couldn't even get close to the 20 I'm at now.

Hope you find a solution.

EDIT: The only other things I can think of is maybe you have one of the RBAs that didn't have the peak insulator but 1 made from a different material that just wasn't performing like peak and that is where the burnt taste is coming from? That's a long shot at this point though. They shouldn't still be around.

Either that, or 24 gauge is just to thick a wire to be using in such a small space. The limited amount of wick you can get in there just might not be able to keep up with how warm the 24 gets. Although I do know of people using it with no problems but maybe try 26? Or increase your ID to 3mm with the 24.

The peek insulator is one of the newer ones a slight tan colour, so I dunno. Might stick a 26 awg coil in and try that. Cheers Haze.

Actually a totally different question.
What kind of rba do you have?
The old ones with teeny tiny holes at the bottom of the chimney or newer ones with 2mm to 3mm holes in the sides of the chimney?

Old ones were a fucker for dry hits as they wouldn't wick (hence version 2 came out)

It was a bit of a sweeping statement, so to clarify, in my experience Muji is poor compared to specialist cottons, for flavour and wicking (which is obviously not so important with drippers).

Flavour is subjective and we actually know very little about the workings of it so we can put that aside, but when it comes to wicking Muji is very poor by comparison, but people bought a lot of it and adapted their vaping styles to it and are reluctant to change or even try something new, because, as you say, it works for them and they may be very good at getting it just right.

For new people struggling to get it right however, the specialist cottons with a much larger margin of error have to be tried.

Lol, I hear ya :).

I'm actually going to give all of the cottons you mentioned a try :). Some I'd heard of, a couple I admittedly hadn't!!! I'm quite happy to experiment and the whole dripping thing is incredibly new to me despite vaping for a VERY similar time period to your self :D. I've always preferred the convenience of tanks and stock coils but dabbled in coil building along the way.

My vaping has always been evolving and expanding, probably just at a slower pace to others. But, I'm doing a hell of a lot more building now and mixing even more of my own liquids too. I've just upgraded several mods again (much earlier and with considerably more expense than I had originally planned, but what the hell lol ;)). I now have a few DNA's, I'm using a much wider variety of wires, mainly based around the TC side of vaping, so I might as well check out other wicking materials as well if they can improve things further still. So your words haven't been totally glossed over ;). I'll be ordering and trying some of each out :D.

............and I need to rein things back a bit and not buy every new tank because it's the best thing ever.

I convinced myself my Galaxy S5 is good enough for what I need and I don't need a GTX 980 for POTV and emails, just need to apply it to vaping.

Lmfao. You definitely have shinyitis mate ffs lol.

You're worse than a Magpie hehe :D.

I have the newer rba with the 2 holes either side of the chimney.
