Planning to arrive at Vapefest sometime on Friday after 4pm when the camping area opens.
So, what's going on at the site ? Are the catering vans open for business ? Any vape stands selling their wares ?
And most importantly.....are the beer vendors/beer tent open ?
Also any POTV meet ups planned for Friday evening for a bit of a social gathering ?

I'm not too sure, but in the same boat. We can stick up tents and wander around together in search of apes, beer and food. [emoji2][emoji106]

Nothing official happening on the Friday, which is probably a good thing given the state of my head on the Saturday last year.

There will be various gatherings on the campsite.

No vendors open until 10am on the Saturday officially, although some people will sell outside of that time.

Not sure if anything POTV has been arranged as I shall be seeing the Derby Vapers crowd on the Friday for a few quiet ones and a meal.

There is a great social atmosphere on the camp but you will probably have to bring beer if you want a drink as the bars are not open.

Tesco run on way in would be a good idea, then beer n shenanigans for the night [emoji6]

Well that's one issue clarified.
I plan to take my own beer anyway, but I can imagine some folk (especially newbys) arriving on the site on Friday expecting to be fed and watered within the confines of the venue.
It is not a long walk into Shrewsbury centre anyway.....but I can imagine it feeling a lot further if it pisses it down.
Fine weather forecast for the weekend though, so it will be a nice stroll to the nearest pub for a meal.

Previous years has seen an informal Ape meet / Piss up at one of the pubs in town, not sure who's staying there this year last year it was @Blackhack and co...

Now that sounds like a plan !
As Vapefest is only 6 days away, maybe someone could suggest a suitable vape friendly pub in Shrewsbury where Apes could meet up and socialise on the Friday evening.

Not many vape friendly places about. Have a slight lead but gonna sit on it until confirmed.

A good beer garden is fine if there is no pubs and the weather is good.

Yes, the forecast looks reasonable next weekend, maybe a bit cool during the night but no rain. If that is the case, a pub garden would be fine :)
