So decided to try my hand at making a simple mech mod myself and wondered if anyone could advise me about the parts I've picked and if I've missed any parts ( feel free to shout at me if I picked something stupid)

Switch 20 amp @ 12v

Sled for dual 18650 ( planning parallel but may just go single
http://www.stealthvape.co.uk/index.php?route=mobile_store/product&product_id=485
I have a few salvaged 510 connectors to one in planning to use is from a less than accurate ohm reader as it's a nice size for the soldering inside

Was planning some old cooker wire for internals as it's rated 35 amp but is there a better choice?.
With my switch would I need a mosfet board?

the switch looks ok. as for the battery sled i would use a keystone as there abit better than the 3d ones i used a 3d one awhile ago and it was abit short for the battery`s i wanted use. as for the wire go for something else as cooker wire maybe only suitable for what it was on before and as for a mosfet you will need a 3034 like the one below and you`ll also need a resistor to go on the mosfet

here`s some vids to watch before you still building

Thanks I ended up replaning the entire build now but looks a lot better than my original idea

Just as a heads up. the 3D printed Sleds are mine. Stealthvape has an older version which I used, sans logo) in about 60-odd mods and I've not had any real issues. The newer ones from myself (https://www.sledz-uk.co.uk) are a slightly different material, can withstand a more heat and have been redesigned from the ground up. It basically comes down to whether you want to be modifying a keystone or want a sled that will just drop in.

Wire - this will make all the difference in difficulty of building. Get some good Silicone sheathed 14 AWG RC wire. I use the this from http://www.componentshop.co.uk/cable/silicon-cables/14-awg for all load carrying wire. If it's just a straight unreg mosfet mod, then the wires to the switch can be tiny. I use 32 AWG silicone sheathed.

Last of all, do your research. There's plenty of info out there. Just know what you're doing before embarking on it.
