What's new

Told "you can't smoke that in here sir" in Tesco today

I agree with all arguments here. Lets just enjoy it whilst it lasts. Lets face it it is the government/politicians who are offended. Especially here in the UK. Lets face it they don't like legal loopholes and vaping is one sure way of getting round the smoking ban they spend months if not years cooking up in secret the ban to be like take that smokers!. Screw smokers right in the ass!

Then vaping came along and suddenly they couldn't do bugger all! If it offends you then please do ask myself and I will stop and apologize.

However after the time of writing this. I must state I was outdoors in public in a vast open area on the pavement well away from the bus stop whilst waiting for a bus. The next thing you know a lady comes over standing next to me. The only one next to me as other where by the bus stop and well away. I move being considerate she then walks closer making it look like she wants to see the next bus. She didn't need to move as a blind ant could have seen the bus from anywhere near by its that open plan there. She moans by huffing and puffing under her breath talking to other commuters about my vaping. I though sod this and started cloud chasing letting the wind blow it into her direction. Full airflow open. I'm sure the coppers over the road thought I was blowing distress signals for help lol there was was that much vapor.

I then started to hear her cough crocodile coughs. I did this for 5 more mins then said 'Oh sorry is my vaping getting on your chest all you had to do is ask politely. I'll move then.' I hate people who make pointless comments with no understanding. Muttering under he breath saying I'm giving her cancer and it's my fault. Comments like if he wants to die from it let him I don't. All kinds of crap she was coming out with. I further hate folk that make vaping an issue it doesn't need to be deliberately. Cloud chasing got to her more than if I had moaned back!

She proper wound me up. No need for it at all. Most people if any challenge me on the pro's on vaping or where to get the best gear/startup from.

Yet more BS from the anti-fag brigade. I popped into Aldis and the security came straight over and goes 'can't smoke that fag in in here boss.' Game on I thought. I said 1) It isn't a fag at all so get your facts right before making assumptions. 2) I am simply holding it for convenience as I fear a leak currently in my pocket. 3) I wouldn't smoke it in here anyway as I am simply grabbing a bottle of milk and I'm gone not doing a big shop. 4) I then challenged him and Aldis, and the management on there smoking policy and got 'don't worry about it bruv' back. I stated that if they didn't specify a policy then the customer is in the right I.e. myself on this occasion. I said you tackled me on it for no reason and you're out of order just presuming.

A lot of the time it's the shops or premises fault for not tackling the issues of policy. There quick to sticker the windows and walls with big no smoking signs but not about vaping. Then it becomes your fault!

The Electronic Cigarette Company
I just don't vape anywhere smoking would
Be frowned upon, simple life.
Vaping inside any premises? No way.
I'm not a shrinking violet but also don't want to go round shoving it in people's faces.

Got told i wasn`t aloud to vape on the train platform (outside) at Skipton the other day by the train driver.
I was being fairly discrete too,he was like a fooking moth to a flame.

Network Rail and all train operators don't allow smoking on railway property, whether it is under cover or not. Even some of the Preserved Railways, don't allow smoking on station platforms. Vaping in these places is always going to remain an issue. They are treated as (cigarettes) smoking, even if they don't give out toxic chemicals like cigarettes. They are still treated as cigarettes because they emit vapour clouds, which to those that don't fully understand what vaping is and that it is not actually smoke, which is produced by burning a substance, there is going to be an issue with people who vape.

Only place I will vape in doors is my house, anywhere else I treat as if I was smoking.
Even when I have permission to vape indoors, If I wouldnt of smoked in there I wont vape in there.
My sister is always telling me I can vape in her house, but still I go outside and vape. :)

in a casino the other day - asked the security - what your vaping policy ? and he said - vape all you like :) HAPPY DAYS

A lot of places (pubs etc) initially allowed vaping.

Then you got the clowns who thought it funny to cloud the place out on sub ohm dripper builds.

Yeah like that's going to help.... No wonder all the bans came through.

Discreet is the key.

Yeah I recon the only place to go mad is at home - or in the vape shop - where it's almost required ;)

Was at Bristol railway station the other day, waiting for a train that was late, went to the end of the platform to have a sly vape, when a member of the railway staff came up to me and said, "you can't smoke on this station"
I said that I was not smoking, but vaping, but he said you can't do that either.
I asked why not and he said that it produced smoke that could be harmful to other people.
So, I asked him why it was OK for a diesel locomotive to be stopped at the station, ticking over for over half an hour spewing out diesel fumes that I could smell, and that has been proved to be harmful, but I was not allowed to vape at the end of the platform away from anybody............
He had no answer,

*sigh*

General rule is that you dont vape where you didnt smoke.....and a supernarket has never allowed smoking in the aisles.....

Tesco also sell lube, but funnily enough ive never felt the urge to grab a bit of lube and "take tea with the parson" next to the hot chicken counter.....

Exactly......
If you stick to these rules then no one can complain.
