Hi there,

I’m looking for some help with wicking my Brunhilde, I seem to be having issues with the flavour, I’m using the 0.8 standard coils that come with it and I’m getting next to no flavour off it, I think my problem is how I wick but I’ve tried different lengths, thinning the cotton all sorts but I just can’t seem to get it right. I’m quite new to rebuildables but not new to vaping, I’ve tried using the vapefly shoelace cotton that comes with it and also cotton bacon but neither are yeilding any results. If anyone either owns this tank or is an expert with rebuildables please help me as it’s very frustrating. I’m using 50/50 10mg nic salts Boulevard shattered my all time favourite juice

I don't own that tank, but I don't think its your wicking that is the issue - as long as the cotton isn't too dry or dry hitting or the tank pisses juice when you tip it to get a vape you're probably good. You shouldn't have many problems keeping the wicks moist with 50/50 juice.

I think the problem is more likely to be coil positioning - if its too close it can choke the airflow and if too far away the air doesn't hit the bottom of the coil with sufficient pressure.

I'd start with about a 2mm gap and experiment raising/lowering the coil slightly to see what works best for you.

Also try adjusting the power and experiment with any airflow adjustment as there is no one size fits all when it comes to vape preferences.

Your wicking doesn't look bad but maybe a slight bit more cotton, your lack of flavour could be down to coil position. I don't own this particular tank but it's generally down to coil position, some need to be absolutely spot on.

Hi there, thanks all for your responses, maybe it might be cool position, I make sure that it’s directly over the centre bit but maybe it could be the height? So how high/low do you tend to put coils?

I start with a 2ml gap between airflow and coil and adjust higher or lower from there if necessary.

Here’s some pics of how I have had my coil, do you think it’s too high?

That looks like the type of spacing I would start with and adjust up down from there.

But before you move anything try raising/lowering the wattage, and try the complete range of air adjustment - all of these aspects can make a big difference.

What mod are you using and what is the wattage?

I have it on a g-priv baby single 18650 at the moment, and from the reviews I’ve seen people have the 0.8 coil running between 15-18 watts and I got no flavour at all, I’ve tried it up to 25 and there is a slight improvement in flavour but I thought this might just be because it’s a too high of a wattage for the coil
