I think people in here have slightly misunderstood, my take is that OP is adding 1x 20mg nic shot to a 50ml shortfill, meaning it is 60ml 3mg. So the free 10ml is the same nic concentration or there about. It should be exactly the same or very similar, only difference might be the VG/PG ratio and even that is going to be pretty much the same.

I only use 3mg so it makes no difference for me and all the attys I have are either RDAs or my RTAs can easily have bubbles bought for them.

No as @JohnNada has said it will be smoother and a lot less harsher on the throat as 3mg - 6mg is more for DTL vaping and 20mg nic salts are more for MTL vaping.

the 20mg is a nic shot though, that he’s putting in a 50ml.

i think it would work out much the same.

aye, so i think it will, and will be much the same as the liquid he is using already.
