Hi, so just recently got into vaping again after a while away. I bought a Ehpro True MTL tank and Aegis mod. However, I have a question about coils:

The coils that came with the True tank were 1.10 ohms, I also bought some MTL built coils and these are reading around 0.6 ohms. Is this a problem with an MTL tank? I’m vaping them at around 9 watts and seems to work fine. I guess this is ok for MTL or Coilology wouldn’t sell them? Just don’t want to make a newbie error!

On another note, what are some flavoursome manufacturers for fruity liquids? Vampire Vape seemed decent, but a few others I bought from various manufacturers are tasing bland.

Hi @Maya_Music and welcome.
0.6ohm will be fine but for reference its always worth learninng to wind your own coils as they cost pennies this way and you can set the desired resistance based on wire type and build of the coil.

As for flavours for mtl there is a dedicated section linked below and a rather good sticky at the top of the page compiled by @Simon G which contains many tried and tested liquids suitable for mtl.

Always nice to see people introduce them selves when joining as it breaks the ice and opens up dialogue so worth popping along here https://www.planetofthevapes.co.uk/forums/new-users-corner/new-user-introductions/ to say hello to everyone.

Hi, welcome to the forum... as @StrawberryRipple says it will be fine.

I presume you are asking because they are sub-ohm coils and you associate that with DTL vaping but that isn't really the case anymore. When you are using adjustable wattage and coils made of different materials like SS and mesh for MTL vaping the coils will often be of a lower resistance.... but still MTL coils.

Fruit liquids?

El Diablo and Dinner Lady spring to mind

Hi guys, thanks for the replies so far! As suggested I’ve posted on the new users forum and had a look at the MTL juice post, some good recommendations there!

I have a couple of questions about rewicking. Does anyone know what the brown specs are in the new cotton? Almost look like bits of tobacco when you take the cotton out of the packet.

Also, do you often get a strange taste when you vape new cotton for the first few drags? I prime beforehand, and it’s not dry burning but the taste is hard to describe, it levels out after a while though and I taste the juice more.

both normal ... the brown specs are just bits of the natural cotton, it's usually present in organic and less refined/less processed cotton.

yeah the cotton taste is common too.. some cottons are worse than others for it but like you say it usually goes away after a while.
