How to know if you have a short or not?

Hi there guys. So basically my question is...
I have a pulse bf mod with a pulse 24 rda on it and im just wondering how you can tell you have a thread. I am getting my coil master meter tomorrow in the mail so will be able to tell if it ever reads as 0 ohms. However, there must be another way other than this? All i know is that my battery is cool, its vaping perfectly etc. What do you guys think?

Rule 1 for using a mech:

Always test your build on either an ohm reader or a regulated mod before attaching it to your mech.

It happens when the circuit is shorted. Have you stopped using it?

When the coil touches something it’s not supposed to.
