Charging smok baby 85

Recently got the smok al85 and its perfect

Never have a vape which had external batteries

It takes 18650s and ive been charging my vape via the usb lead that comes with it nd either my xbox or laptop as power supply

Ive not had any problems but someone mentioned this can make it blow up in my face while vaping and i should buy an external battery charger and swap them in and out rather than just plugging my vape into a power supply via usb

Just looking for the safest and simplest way to enjoy it

Get yourself a Nitecore battery charger. Preferably a 4 bay charger that way you can have multiple charged batteries available.

a lot of mods only use the mini usb port for software updates but saying that a lot can use the port to charge 18650's internally but its advised for safety reasons to use an external charger for peace of mind.
smok are mass produced and weve seen QC a bit hit and miss with balanced charging so personally i would never charge in my smok mods which i have 4 off.
also its so much easier to just swap out a pair of batteries and put fresh in.
ive had both nitecore and now a xtar charger and rate them both.

I was charging my Alien 220 via USB for a couple of weeks, whilst on holiday. No one died.

Just get an @XTAR Vc2 or vc4 charger from fogstar - v. Cheap and has never let me down.

I have several mods, some with built in batteries, so no choice but to charge them via USB..but a couple of others that have removable batteries...I always charge them in my XTar.
