Smok RBA Shorting And Wrong OHM Fix

Hi All,

Just purchased the RBA deck for my Big Baby Beast.

For my first build I decided that I wanted to do a 0.4 Dual Coil build.

After building and inserting the coils I checked the resistance with an Ohm meter and it was reading 0.05 and the coils would not fire.

This is apparently a common flaw with this RBA Deck, I will post the fix is below.

This 2 pictures show the RBA Deck after the fix.

The flat part at the bottom of the deck is to long and makes contact not only with the positive post but also the bottom of the metal casing that the deck is screwed into causing the shorting and incorrect Ohm reading.

You simply need to grind the excess metal away using a metal file or Dremel tool so that it looks like the pictures above.

Once the excess metal has been removed the deck reads at the correct Ohms and no more shorting:)
