Got a good bottle that you like the look of? But lots of crap all over it from the old labels?
Solution:- Get some baby oil on a bit of tissue and just rub it over the bottle, removes every last of glue.

I believe that nail varnish remover (acetone) is also good and also lighter fluid (although that one might be just for chewing gum )

Had luck also with Surgical Spirit.

WD40 is good or rubbing alcohol if you have some. The latter is also amazing for cleaning tanks. De-greases and kills bugs in one!
