If it's a 510 drip tip then it will fit the new Ares. No idea when Ares 2 is coming out. It's gone a bit quiet on that front

The Zlide drip tip just a special "lug" at the bottom

it latches into a recess to create a "lock" feature on the Zlide tank
it will fit onto any 510 tank if you trim off the "lug"

there is a tiny bit of extra material on bottom of tip
and Zlide has a extra bit of material removed so it snaps into place
it is not magical rocket science & the Zlide might also come with a spare std tip
as fitted to previous Zenith/Ares tanks
(well I'm sure the Zlide/Adept kits came with a spare Zenith type tip)

Ares 1 does not have the cut out for lug
unsure about Ares II as @rew metioned

but gotta admit the zlide drip tip is nice
just might have to trim the lug off with sharp knife/stanley blade to fit on other tanks

thanks guys...reason i ask is because the new Ares has a similar locking mechanism to the Zlide . but only the curved drip tip has the Lug . the straight extra drip tip does not .

Version1 is still the only Rta i get on with . Not for everyone though i understand . 0.5 ohm clapton 30 watts , bags of great favour .
