People cant send me pm

Hi admins, can anyone help please? A few weeks ago someone mentioned they had tried to pm me but couldn't however when i pm them, we can then have a conversation and they can pm me. So tonight, 2 people have mentioned they tried to pm me and it said they had pressed an invalid button??? And wouldn't let them, but again once i found out- i pm'd them and then we could converse fine.
Can anyone help me with this please? Is it something to do with my settings or some kind of error?

contact details - messaging preferences - accept conversations from ... make sure it's ticked and says 'members only' in the box.

Hi , iv had to go out of app and onto website and it was indeed unticked for accept conversations.
