Contrary to popular belief I'm glad!

I've being eyeing a 6 slot charger for ages so gonna get me an efest LUC Blu6 - wey hey!

Soooo - The charging lights went out on the i2 and there was a flash when I plucked out an 18650, and the smell of burning.

18 month warranty and have had it for 2 years, 7 months, 22 days so took it apart...

Looks like a Varistor blew:

Anyone beat 2 years, 7 months, 22 days ?

ps - Anyone heard of a Varistor before? Me neither ;-)

" A varistor is an electronic component with an electrical resistance that varies with the applied voltage.[1] Also known as a voltage-dependent resistor (VDR), it has a nonlinear, non-ohmic current–voltage characteristic that is similar to that of a diode. In contrast to a diode however, it has the same characteristic for both directions of traversing current. At low voltage it has a high electrical resistance which decreases as the voltage is raised"

Out of curiosity what batteries where you charging in it. I've had mine for over two years, I could do with an upgrade, juggling two batteries charging at a time is a pain
