Stoptober campaign prompts new inquiry into e-cigarettes...

We can only hope it comes out positive - sadly ... I suspect money will change hands somewhere along the line

Sadly I think this is the first step towards the taxation of vaping.
The Government is losing money hand over fist in lost tax from those smokers who have converted to vaping and they will aim to recover this loss somehow.
I can envisage nicotine being taxed based on strength and volume as an ' encouragement' to give up their addiction.
Obviously ' medically approved' nicotine products will be exempt [emoji52]

Its only a matter of time until the anti smoking tw@s find something to take to the gov that they can put a "for your own good tax" on ... surprised they havnt hammered one on nicotine to be honest .... i know the "antis" are really pissed off about the short fills ect getting round the 10ml rules ........haha

another inquiry another opportunity to waste tax money. it's an open and closed case. of course, e-cigs encourage smoking. that's like thinking watching porn online is different to watching porn magazines.

Sorry if I've misunderstood what you're saying here, but you lost me. All evidence points to people using e-cigs to get away from smoking, rather than e-cigs being a 'gateway' to smoking or encouraging it. Also not sure what the porn analogy refers to, but vaping to get a nic fix is VERY different to smoking a cigarette.

We have the backing of the doctors and cancer research, that committee at hocommons are a group catching up with things I expect. Taxing as a few have mentioned no doubt, but let's face it honestly, we've had it bloody good for a fair few years now.

Don’t see anything that suggests they will start taxing vaping in the article. I’m hoping gp’s will start prescribing 18650 batteries, kayfuns and 72mg nic by the litre.

Don't forget wire of your taste and on repeat prescription. Well a chemist is the safe perfect place to store the nic.
