So is the tobacco lobby.

This quote is from the guardian article on this subject...

““We spent a few decades fighting big tobacco in the form of cigarettes,” Walton said. “Now we have to do it again in the form of e-cigarettes.””

Juul is partly owned by altria. I think @Richard D might be right.
 
They allow cigarettes that kill
They allow Guns that kill
But they ban vaping that could save lives.
 
I do wonder if it wasn't for the market dominance of Juul (largely tobacco company owned) in the US whether there would be less opposition. The tobacco companies don't exactly have a squeaky clean history. Some of it is also clearly an attack on the FDA too... Of course a lot of the money for the anti-vape lobby comes from the makers of Nicotine gum... It's a murky business.

Plus I read somewhere that their stats show youth cig use going down, whilst e-cig use is going up very fast. That's one of the reasons it's been targeted I believe.
