Odd coil issue (twisted wire)

OK, so i have been trying to use up some 26g kanthal so thought i would give some twisted wire coils a go.

Twisted up 3 strands of wire, made a coil, 5 wraps, 3mm ID, ohms out at around .3 as expected.

I was really liking the way the coil was vapping so tonight i thought i would stick a new coil in an RTA for out and about, i wanted this a little higher in ohms so did 10 wraps, 3mm ID which should be .6, my issue (sorry for babbling on) is it is ohming out at .3 same as the 5 wrap coil, tried it on a couple of mods and few tanks.

What am i doing wrong?

Just wondering here, could the coil be touching and completing the circuit before it reaches the post?

And have you also used the free online tools at steam-engine.org ,just to check?

Coils look good, but i am not sure to be honest

Yep i use steam engine to check what i should be doing

Did you take it off, press fire button then put back on. Could be the mod not picking up the change.
