Some juices are known to crack plastic, polycarb, and even glass tanks.

If you know of any, post them here please!

List the Juice, the PG/VG Blend, MG and maker if you know the info. The more the better!

I mixed a batch of Perfumer's Apprentice Ripe Banana and I was sitting happily trying it out in a Vivi Nova, stupid, stupid, CRACK!

The polycarbonate tank split across the top thread, top cap came right off, it also split vertically but didn't leak until I had it at the sink. Fortunately only a tiny bit spilled out on my couch.

Some flavours react badly to polycarb, here is a list of some of them http://bigdaddyvapor.com/index.php?main_page=page&id=8
and TPA Ripe Banana is right there on it.
I knew about this list but didn't check, stupid.

BUT

It is a great flavour that I think will mix with a few things. I've got it in a Siam glass tank with a boge at present and love it. It'll be in the Penelope before the end of the day.

I got a crack in the Kanger Clearomiser a few days ago. I was using Puffin E-liquids Watermelon at 24mg and loving the flavour and the vape. I will now only use it on the vivi nova with the metal tank sleeve to be safe. Lovely juice after a week or so steeping though!

Apparently salmiaki buy FSUSA can crack tanks but ive use mine in a puff diddy for 3 weeks and no problems!

Love salmiaki flavour!

A customer showed me her clearomizer that used to be clear - now opaque. It has not cracked but the mouthpiece had dissolved into a gooey mess :grey:
She now uses an Echomizer - no problems.

Copied this from siam-mods.com I am sure Graeme won't kick up a fuss for me stealing his hard earned typing skills.

If you have any concerns about the reaction between E-Liquid and Polycarbonate, then we would suggest that you look instead at our Delrin or Stainless Steel tank bodies, both of which are constructed from materials that are known not to react with E-Liquid at all.
We have not tried all juices with the polycarbonate tank bodies but there is some known issues with the following juices with other available polycarbonate tanks .
Sour flavors
Malic acid
Citrus acid
Cinnamon like "atomic cinnamon" types, not warm cinnamon like cinnamon coffee cake, this is okay
Wintergreen juice or flavoring
TPA ripe banana flavoring
TPA honeysuckle flavoring
TPA maraschino cherry flavoring
TPA cherry blossom flavoring
TPA root beer flavoring
Mrs. T's strawberry shortcake, snickerdoodle
KBV Hummingbird nectar
mimosa(because of the orange)
cola(because of cinnamon)?
Vapor Renu Teaberry, cherry vanilla (possibly most of their flavors)
Vapor Renu Mt. Dew baha blast and Strawberry limeade
Oil based/e liquid that contains essential oils, when mixed with pg/vg, creates esters which will crack plastics
E liquids that contain triacetin, used in vg liquids to carry flavor more effectively
Vapalicious Gooey Butter Cake
Nutmeg
Clove oil
Mt. Dew flavoring
TPA Cinnamon Danish flavoring
Sassafras
Rawrvapor Hawaii Sunrise
TPA Vanilla Custard flavoring
Tasty Vapor Cherry Cola
Vixen Vapor Rootbeer
TPA Pineapple flavoring
TPA Vanilla Bean Ice Cream flavoring
Vaporgod Licorice
VAL Goddess
VermillionRiver e juice

Ditto it did mine a few days ago, metal tanks from now on for this flavour !!!

Moonshine DV espresso with caffeine cracked a clearo from top to bottom.
I just read the mention of Vermillion River and I've had that in the clear tank of a genie clone for a week - Classic Blend 25 mg, but the nic content was too high for me and I added some 11 mg vanilla. The tank may not be plastic though, it was just described as clear and feels much more solid than plastic, maybe even glass.:triumphant:

I had the same thing happening to a brand new tank I shipped in from the US.

I was vaping juice from liberty flights, PG. It completely cracked my tank! Now I'm back on 100% VG again... I'm not too keen on sacrificing another tank.
