Well just finished doing lot of sanding and then started engraving it to give it that wood log effect and i also wanted to make the detatchable stem to be invisible when fitted.... Just a bit more engraving then a tidy up and make the cover and then its time for staining then MORE sanding.... Wished had'nt started it now, so much frigging work gone into it.

Coat of black stain then when dry it is given a good sanding to highlight.

What it looks like after the sanding ready for a brown stain.
