Phones are the main culprits but IIRC there are some digital cameras which record location data. If you're on a PC one sure fire way to strip an image of EXIF data is to take a screenshot and then paste it into a program like paint and then save it.

Or... Edit>Select all. Edit>Copy. Edit>Paste into new image.
 
Meta is a term in the gaming community for the best strategy.

I thought this was going to be discussing if pushing the 'best' setups on people was necessary, maybe looking at vape shops selling less than ideal gear, is that a big problem? Does it meta? ;p

Meta just means it referes to itself so Meta-Data in cameras is the referal to the data stored in the digital image relating to the image and its camera, and especially on mobiles can include GPS data of you precise location.
