I may not want synthetics, or bleaches - but really, at least give it a rinse...

This could be an interesting subject actually.

It's entirely possible that by constructing/isolating the molecular structure you have greater control and consistency with less chance of contamination compared to a plant extract.

I'd have to look into it more (if it becomes commonly available as an alternative) but there's a possibility that I'd be prepared to use it.

That would rely on it being a "pure" nicotine construct, and not some hacked about salts clone...
