Hi All,

Hopefully this is in the correct section if not I apologize. For years I've been vaping on a Kanger K3 tank and its good don't get me wrong but I'm looking for a change.

I'm looking for a dripper with a tank ideally for my next vape, something where I can have some fun making coils for and has the wow factor of a dripper but minus the constant re-juicing the cotton. I've had my eyes on a Skyhook RDTA for a while and saw one which has had a price drop on Ebay £16.50 delivered.

Whats everyones thoughts before I order it?

Link is here if anyone is interested & If anyone has one or uses one love to know your thoughts?

Whilst I am sure it works and does a job. It's not exactly new. I am not sure but I am guessing about 2-3 years old. There are a lot newer products in the marketplace and I would recommend you take a look at https://www.ecigone.co.uk/ for some inspiration and then come back and ask for more opinions.

Have a look at the Vardy Vape Pyro v2. It's a little more pricey, i paid £24. But its a squankable(it comes with a gold none squank 510 pin) RDTA with brilliant flavour and clouds. Its pointless build deck is easy to build on. You even get a coil leg gauge, which makes things much simpler. Oh yeah, it's leak proof.

Did you mean "Postless" build deck? :)

Hi man,
The problem with the Skyhook (well, one of the problems) is that there's no 510 connection, the RDTA on top is connected to the box so you can't swap it out for a better one.

Also there were a lot of reports of them leaking as the internal tank wasn't sealed properly.

And it's SMOK (sorry, can't help myself).

You'd be far better off with a squonk box topped off with a decent RDA, but it will be a bit pricier.

For squonk mods i'd recommend the DovPo Topside (£65 on FastTech), nice big bottle, dead easy to fill, fits nicely in the hand.

For a squonk capable RDA i'd go with the Recurve (£16.50 on FastTech), really simple to fit a coil, hard to over-squonk, great flavour.

I think you're getting mixed up with the Skyhook squank kit and the stand alone Skyhook RTDA.

I actually have the Smok TF RTA. I find it a good tank that, when wicked properly, is leak proof, provides good clouds, but falls down on flavour. Now I've only use the weedy claptons it comes with. So a coil upgrade my help there. Personally i feel it shows its design age. If you do a forum search, you'll find I asked the same question, only months ago.

D'oh ! Didn't realise they'd released the RDTA separately. Cheers :)
It isn't a seperate release. The Skyhook RTDA shares only the name, with the Skyhook squanker tank. Its a completely unrelated product.
